Responsible for executing key strategic objectives related to long-term research & development at SEWA by:
* Conducting demand forecasts for water and energy consumption using specific calculations
* Identify new data sources that will enhance decision-making and increase forecast accuracy
* Conduct risk assessments and SWOT analysis
* Develop operational KPIs for SEWA executive management covering energy production, transmission, connections and losses, water desalination, and distribution to monitor operational performance and enhance decision making.
*Create and implement a Research strategy that covers different fields, such as EV regulatory framework, smart meter technology, and Big Data
* Generate and supervise all department strategic documents (BSC, Operation Goals, Employee performance)
*Supervise and monitor SEWA research grants with academic institutes (UOS, AUS) by:
* Formulate and monitor MoUs with academic institutes
* Evaluating and selecting research proposals/projects by conducting Refereeing Criteria index
* Present research findings and outputs through bi-annual workshops
* Lead the business intelligence \[BI\] project at SEWA from project initiation to submission - Project Leader
* Using SEWAs data warehouse, Power BI, and GIS to generate study papers that contain future proposed solutions for SEWA technical challenges
• Led the creation of an enabling environment for innovation and associated projects. Central to the role was setting up tracking of innovation return on investment (ROI)
• Conceptualised an in-depth plan for transparent and collaborative innovation culture.
• Lead the implementation of analytics & forecast future models; proactively identify new data sources that will enhance decision making, increase forecast accuracy and streamlined efforts
• Executed first Innovation Hub at Sharjah Emirate.
• Preparation and ongoing monitoring of the yearly office budget, staff KPI’s and office action plan
• Led the adoption of ISO 56002 Innovation management and ISO 30401 knowledge management.
• Offered a structured approach to solving complex challenges, developing insightful hypothesis to increase processes efficiency. Such challenges include increase Zulal water factory sales, ideation frustration, lack of customer awareness of SEWA’s services, and lack of connection between SEWA’s Sectors.
• Collaborations with Global companies such as Schneider Electric and Raychem RPG to produce inventions created by SEWA and be distributed globally.
• Oversaw, guided, and coached five innovative projects with Higher Collages of Technology in Sharjah (HCT) and four Innovative concepts of SEWA’s innovation hub with the American University in Sharjah (AUS). These projects were then adopted at SEWA.
• Managed and presented SEWA’s Innovation projects during Innovation month.
• Managed and lead the SEWA’s Smart Glove Invention and received a global patent. The invention is currently going through large scale production.
• Carried out “SEWA’s Story” Project which promotes creativity, education and awareness using technology and AI for the public
• Oversaw, guided, and coached 5s implementation system at SEWA with the creation of 5s regulation guideline,
• Presented innovative projects insight through comprehensive strategy papers, communicating complex concepts clearly and concisely for wider audiences that include more than 35 local, and global conferences related to Innovation, AI, Digital Transformation, Smart Cities and Environment.

* Create Federal legislation related to department scope such as Protected Area, Biosafety, Wetlands, Endangered, and Migratory species

* Create / monitor department's Strategic KPI's, Action Plan, and the competitiveness indicators of the federal government of UAE
*Supervise and arrange global and local events (Ex. Ramsar Convention COP13, Government Innovation lab workshop)
* Higher Committee for Environmental Coordination - Rapporteur. Responsible for following up on recommendations from the committee led by the Minister of Climate Change and Environment and executive members of local environmental authorities in the UAE. Supervise four sub-national committees that report back to the committee
