1. Update in the police computer details of all in house guests and events in the hotel.
2. Ensure that passport scanning is done correctly by front desk colleagues, highlighting any mistakes to the telephone supervisor / assistant director of front office / Director of front office.
3. Ensure that the updating of the information is done in a timely manner and that backlog at the front desk is kept to the minimum.
4. Ensure accuracy in inputting the details in the police computer as per the established standards by police (CID) Department.
5. Check and ensure that the total guest count in the police system corresponds with that in Opera PMS at all time. Differences can only be temporary, must be investigated, followed up and resolved immediately.
6. Complete all filling of the documents in a neat and orderly manner.
7. When handling guests, provide courteous service and respond promptly to guest requests and complaints.
8. Develop a thorough knowledge of room rates, room locations, type of rooms.
9. Maintain a clean, pleasant and neat image to guests at all times.
10. Attend daily briefing and provide feedback on the shift’s occurrences
11. Attend regular departmental meetings and provides input to improve departmental operations and services to guests.
12. Assist the front desk whenever required.
13. Ensure to provide prompt, courteous and efficient service to all guests, so as to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction through personalized service from arrival till departure.
14. Conduct in room & hotel familiarization and assist guest in hotel activity enquires /requests.
15. Maintain an up to date knowledge of hotel information and local services, including operating hours, promotions, events, attractions and any allied information to supply information respond to guest queries.
16. Maintain awareness of guest profile through Opera PMS Guest history and updates those accordingly for future reference.
