Duties & responsibilities:
•Managing the design process starting from concept stage up to tender and construction documents of many packages (including Master planning, Buildings, infrastructure, landscape works) with international & local consultants.
•Preparing RFPs
•Handling the evaluation process for the design offers.
•Monitoring design progress against project timeline & master schedule, and preparing mitigation plans in cases of design delays.
•Handling & scheduling coordination meetings between involved parties.
•Technical Review of the design documents submitted in each design milestone and ensuring its compliance with contract deliverables.
•Review of cost estimates prepared by cost consultant against project budgets.
•Supporting the client with recommendations during various design stages and critical issues.
•Preparing Monthly and bi-weekly reports showing work progress.
•Handling Tender queries and Contributing in tender meetings.
•Handling the “change requests” and “variation orders”.

•Handling coordination with other engineering disciplines and sub consultants.

•Handling material submittals from contractors and ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
•Shop drawings review and approval.
•Solving problems concerning design technical issues.
•Handling requests for info (RFI's) submitted by the contractors.
•Coordinating construction composite drawings (including electro mechanical works) with the architectural drawings.
•Reviewing and approving method statements submitted for construction activities.
•Following up and monitoring the work quality and construction progress of all activities through periodical site surveillance & periodical quality and progress meetings with the client’s representatives, the PM & contractors.
