I'm a graduate Engineer with over 20 years of experience mainly with Consultants dealing in Architectural Engineering Projects. Since 15 Years in UAE, worked as design manager for a consultant office in Architectural Projects. Five Years as Interior design manager with Private Contracting Company, 8 Years as Senior Architect/project manager with W S Atkins - UAE and the last 2 years as General Manager with Atlas Consulting Engineers, my duties and responsibilities of a General Manager was:
• General day to day management of Atlas Consulting Engineers operations in accordance with the authorities delegated to me and the office policies.
• Enter legally binding contracts on behalf of Atlas Consulting Engineers.
• Negotiating and signing contracts, and consultancy agreements with the clients.
• Maintaining good communications with clients.
• Maintain regular liaison with Atlas Consulting Engineers finance and accounts managers on potential contracts, general commercial information and general financial matters.
• Maintaining full accounting books and records as and when required by the director of Atlas Consulting Engineers, submitting specific financial reports as and when required by the directors.
• Preparing detailed annual budgets for approval of the directors and controlling expenditure within budget and reporting performance against it and obtaining approval for variations.
• Protecting the interests of the directors and owners of Atlas Consulting Engineers.
• Reviewing and analyzing the achieved net profit, and recommending thereafter based on the audited financial statement, the distribution of that net profit to the shareholders.
• Recruit, manage and discipline staff within generally agreed policies and budgets including entering into and termination employment contracts with Atlas Consulting Engineers staff.
• Purchasing and safekeeping of assets including vehicles, office equipment, etc.
Leading the site supervision team, coordinating & distributing the work to all disciplines, review and confirm supervision team work, coordinating shop drawing with all site super vision divisions.
Responsible for interior design package and following on technical and financial coordination with main contractor and fit outs contractors.
Responsible for landscape design package and following on technical and financial coordination with main contractor and landscape contractors.
Responsible for design, review, comment on technical issues, review of technical submittals and commenting as per architectural design concept. liaison with main office design team for design issues.
