Looking after the EHS strategy development and implementation. Monitoring the EHS performance according to international standard
Leading the Methanol and MTBE plants, which are producing 2 Million Tons per year and obtaining safe and reliable operation with high performance and productivity. Also, ensure to achieve the short and medium production target with minimum cost and high quality standard. Align with Process Engineering, Technical support and Maintenance staff to ensure providing the required support timely. Interface with outside company resources and coordinate long-range plan and development of both production facilities and personnel .Coordinates the team training and developments of Saudi nationals for the unit.
Responsible to ensure the effective engagement and alignment of stakeholders in Project and Executive Committee .Resolve all issues between SBUs and EPM and ensure the gating requirements. Ensure right long-term staffing of the run & maintain team (hiring, training. Reporting business case progress to the PE Committee. Lead technical negotiation discussion with outside parties, act as business focal, and represent the parties. Develop MOU’s and T’s&C’s for projects and services agreements. Ensure the reediness of the site and Lead the site activities
Providing the Technical expertise to the plant in all technical matters focus on process and process control. Work on performance optimization with production, recommend and initiate ideas for improvements. Monitor long-term performance of key parameters such as reactors and catalyst. Bring technical improvement to the company concerning the technical matters, technology of process, equipment and mode of operations. Lead engineer’s development and ensure adequacy of technical professional. Evaluate new technology and recommend upgrade to process and process control. Evaluate opportunity and de- bottleneck study and lead the improvement studies
Leading safety, health and environment activities within the company, ensuring the development of appropriate inspection programs, auditing, training, communication, and maintenance of proper statistics and investigation of incidents to ensure minimum risk of accident or injury of an individual or damage of company assets. Manage the provision of a highly effective security services to protect the company assets and meet statutory requirements. Manage the provision of a highly effective firefighting and prevention capability for the company and the effective training for both, full time and part-time fire fighters enable to minimize the risk and to ensure the capability for timely and effective response to an incident. Manage the cost effective provision of primary health care and screening via the Company Clinic to promote good health among employees and minimize absence due to sickness. Manage the effective handling of all government related employee documentation and respond to inquiries from government bodies, meeting with officials as necessary to ensure efficient and effective processing of all such matters pertinent to the successful operation of the company.
Responsible to develop, review, update and gain approval to EHS procedures and ensure appropriate communication and implementation to minimize risks and meet statutory requirements. Develop and implement a program and procedures for inspections to review and audit working practices throughout the company addressing unsafe condition and environment concern and monitored for completion, to ensure compliance with procedures and minimize the risk of accidents and environmental events. Develop procedures for reporting, handling and investigating accidents, carryout investigations to a certain causes and make recommendations to ensure the appropriate lesson are learned and practices changed to prevent reoccurrence. Assess EHS training needs. Develop and deliver training programs in all aspects of procedures and working to employees across the company and contractors to ensure full understanding.
Responsible to lead QC & QA activities including offline and on-line analyzer and ensure the reediness for plant needs and ensure high quality products.
Joined IBN SINA in Sep 1992 as Process Engineer responsible for Methanol Plant. Joined MTBE Project team in May 1993 responsible for PHA, Design review. Participated in plant commissioning and start up. Monitor plant performance and support Operation needs includes trouble Shooting, optimization and equipment performance evaluation
An international Diploma in Safety Management, awrded by British Safety Council
Graduated from KSU in 1992, with Chemical Engineering Degree
