• Manage business unit strategy across categories, including supplier selection, negotiation of commercial agreements, product selection, cost management and volume discounts.
• Manage multi-banner product hierarchy for assigned products. Complete the category review process according to the submitted schedule.
• Comprehensive understanding of market trends for consumers and PRO needs inherent in its category.
• Provide new opportunities and strategies to business units with the goal of increasing the overall results of the company.
• Develop and Execute marketing strategies within the channel promotions, pricing, and assortment decisions.
• Support the development of actionable strategies, based on shopper insights, which will be used for product innovation/re-positioning initiatives.
• Participate in the development of the merchandising plan, color-merchandising materials, power aisle recommendations, shelf sets…
• Support the development of a pricing and promotion strategy based on competitive analysis of market pricing, brand positioning, and shopper insight.
• Actively support the delivery/execution of the channel-marketing plan
• Coordinate operations and safety program.
• Ensure all stores are meeting sales and operations goals.
• Control expenses and payroll budgets, overrides, and loss prevention.
• Manage staff training, motivation, evaluation, hiring.
• Assist the regional manager in his management functions.
