My main role is to coordinate, monitor and execute the planning and implementation of activities related to innovation labs curriculum, as assigned by the Innovation specialist;
1. Organize, facilitate and implement events, workshops and conferences relevant to UNICEF projects.
2. Research and select global innovation trends and methodologies to be explored, implemented and scaled through labs.
3. Draft and finalize concept notes, reports and project documents relevant to the Innovation Development.
4. Prepare progress reports and evaluations of the activities as needed
5. Lead the design of open innovation challenges
6. Provide capacity building for the existing team/ young social innovators to carry out future social innovation programs/ activities.
7. Coordinate the follow-up of activities and sessions in the innovation labs.
8. Ensure lessons-learnt & feedback are integrated into future program design.
My role was to facilitate innovation labs curriculum in Azraq camp and to work with other Makani's centers to implement social innovation curricula
1- Providing integrated support to Syrian refugee children and youth, including learning support services, psycho-social support, and life skills training in Azraq camp through ten Makani's Centers.
2- Managing the lab program including outreach activities: emerging technology exhibition to drive engagement, spark imagination, and teach kids about technology.
3- Supporting adolescents to discover their talents and come up with good ideas.
4- Adapting and localizing the social innovation curriculum for roll-out in the labs
5- Hiring and training facilitators for mobile labs and labs in the camps.
7- Organizing “Open Innovation Days”, bringing in technical trainers for example in coding; and- Lead reporting on lab activities to Relief International and UNICEF.
8- Lead outreach activities to other camp-based Makanis, and coordinate with other RI staff joint activities.
My main role as a coordinator for the executive committee included administrative management, calendar management, facilitation, and meeting coordination. I also have been a focal point for the committee for various different projects that included Women’s Shelter, Child Guest House, Legal Awareness Program and studies and documentation related to women rights. I have also participated in women political and economic empowerment programs. In addition, I have been assigned as a public relations coordinator for the Arab NGO Network for Development (ANND).
