♦ Duties
• Accountable for Vodafone Egypt's Cost Benchmark including cost analysis, allocation, and identification of functional cost gaps.

♦ Role Summary: Manage Vodafone Egypt's compliance with SOX; building the necessary business processes and internal controls' framework with minimum cost and functional impact.
♦ Duties: • Accountable for Vodafone's compliance results, decisions, and deliverables ensuring full compliance.
• Develop and implement annual audit plans. Report results to executives, audit committee and Vodafone Group.
• Liaise with Vodafone Group, local leadership team, and sister companies to reach the most efficient implementation of SOX requirements.
• Provide leadership, guidance and counsel on business process design and documentation.

• Received an outstanding achievement award for the outstanding performance in leading SOX compliance team and the leading position Vodafone Egypt achieved around Vodafone Group.
• Setup a full internal control framework and governance structure for the End-to-End business processes, mobile network, and IT systems, for the first time, in Vodafone Egypt.
• Amended the billing and revenue assurance processes adjusting roles and responsibilities to ensuring reporting accuracy and accountability.
• Risk assessment and control mitigation of critical IT systems including Billing, Revenue Assurance, Oracle ERP, and Hyperion financial reporting systems.
• Developed a data retention policy and associated processes.
Mobile Application Development & Network Performance Manager, Vodafone (Oct.'01 - Jul '04)
♦ Role Summary: Lead the in-house software development of Value Added Services towards enriching Vodafone
Egypt's mobile services portfolio with cost-effective solutions. In addition, lead the network performance function ensuring 24x7 network availability and operability.
♦ Duties: • Support Vodafone in developing in-house value added services to gain a competitive advantage in local market.

• Build the necessary interfaces between network and IT systems including billing and DWH platforms.
• Ensure that the developed value added services are efficiently interoperable with all other GSM network elements through studying their functional and traffic impacts.

♦ Key Achievements: • Created the mobile application development function of Vodafone Egypt.
• Introduced many in-house developed value added services which resulted in high customer satisfaction and cost effectiveness. This include: * WorldCup2002 services suite (Push, Pull and Quiz services) which is considered as the most successful value added service in Vodafone Egypt at that time.
* Welcome SMS for Roamers which resulted in a cost saving of USD 450, 000.
* Call-Me-Back which resulted in a cost saving of USD 80, 000.
* Prepaid services including Prepaid Installment and prepaid gateway.
* Several Messaging and SimTolkit services and mobile applications.
* Several customer care applications such as IN-View which formed the base for CRM applications.
• Created a network performance dashboard and several alarming tools.
♦ Other achievements: • Received an outstanding achievement award for project management of Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) service launch from Request For Proposal development up to service implementation and launch.
• Subject matter expert of the location based services studying different platforms and network integration capabilities.
