* Answering phones and routing calls to the appropriate recipient Provide clerical and administrative support.

* Furnishing members and health care practitioners with details regarding members benefits for their insurance.
* Granting pre-authorizations for medical treatment, if covered.
* Advising members of outstanding co payments and deductibles.
* Providing extant and prospective members with the details of network providers.

* Resolves customer issues and answers questions about offerings and purchasing processes.
* Collects payments by accepting cash, checks, or charge payments and makes change for customers.
* Balances cash drawer by counting cash at the beginning and end of work shifts by following checkout procedures.
