after two years of working as medical technologist I was promoted to a senior technologist in the Electron microscopy unit where I deal with specimen for ultrastructural examination and work on transmission and scanning electron microscopes to achieve the ultrastructual fining with relativity to pathologist enquiry depending on patients medical history, since I was senior technologist I was training junior staff about laboratory protocols and imaging facilities maintaining and trouble shooting, I take part in meetings held in our department and share in presentation given in pathological interesting topics. I worked also with more than one pathologist to conduct researches by using imaging facilities as emerging imaging techniques e.g. fluorescent and electron microscopy in a research aspects.
I worked in laboratory section department of pathology at the beginning as a medical histopathology technologist where I receive specimen from operation rooms, process, embed and stain in a way to be checked by pathologist, I was doing primary screening for tissues to identify malignancy and cancer classes, plus I was safety officer that check laboratory safety protocols.
I am a graduate student from University of York, Department of biology, which is one of the UK’s top-ranked biological sciences departments for both research and teaching, with a master's degree in Bioscience Technology, my overall mark is 61%. I was introduced to biotechnology through studing my master's wide variety of modules developing skills in biomolecular analysis, biophysics, proteomics, genomics, microscopy and cytometry, protein production, bioinformatics and business & leadership module; which includes a business plan writing. Beside a six months external placement of a project working on visualizing cytoskeletal proteins in some neuronal cultured cells using immunofluorscence and correlative microscopy to enhance resolution, which includes writing up a dissertation of 8000 words plus laboratory experiments.
I graduated from king Saud University with a bachelor degree of clinical laboratories with a GPA of 4.16 out of 5. My undergraduate study consists of studying lab protocols and theory based on biological foundation; it consists of 8 semesters of many subjects as biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, hematology, histopathology and molecular biology and an independent study.
