- Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.
- Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
- Advise managers on organizational policy matters such and recommend needed changes.
- Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.
- Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
- Plan, organize, or coordinate the personnel, training, or labor relations activities of an organization.
- Develop and/or administer special projects in areas such as employee awards.
- Plan, develop, evaluate, improve, and communicate methods and techniques for selecting, promoting, compensating, evaluating, and training workers.
- Develop methods to improve employment policies, processes, and practices, and recommend changes to management.
- Formulate policies, procedures and programs for recruitment, testing, placement, classification, orientation.
- Screening, sourcing, selection and hiring talent for the organization.
- Conduct forecasting and workforce planning.
- Ensure attracting the highest calibers with critical skills needed to help in the success of business.
- Maintain pool of candidate with high caliber to ensure fluidity of needed skills.
- Monitor and develop recruitment process to be aligned with department and business strategy.
- Establishing and maintains contact with external recruitment sources.
- Follow budgets for personnel operations.
- Prepare staffing plan and matrix to project employment needs.
- Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview and select applicants.
- Allocate human resources, ensuring appropriate matches between personnel.
Develop, administer and evaluate applicant tests.
- Assists in the interviewing and hiring of Human Resource employee team members with the appropriate skills, as needed.
- Ensures documentation of outreach efforts in accordance with Human Resource Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist in the evaluation, classification and rating of occupations and job positions.
- Generate organization charts.
- Assist in the succession planning process.
- Assist in the performance appraisal process.
- Conduct training session on performance management system changes.
- Plan and conduct new employee orientations to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
- Assists with departmental orientation program for employees to receive the appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job
- Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination.
- Provide terminated employees with relocation assistance.
- Facilitate exit process and maintain records in employees' files
- Generate statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel issues and develop recommendations for improvement of organization's personnel policies and practices.
- Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
- Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations, and employee relations.
- Assists in maintaining effective employee communication channels.
- Ensures employee issues are referred to the Department Manager for resolution or escalated to the Director of Human Resources/Multi-Property Director of Human Resources.
