JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Reviewing contract specification.
• Visual inspection of welded joints.
• Dimension check according to the released drawing for fabrication.
• Witness of the required non-destructive test & reviewing its document.
• Raising NCRs (Non Conformity Report) wherever necessary & ensures that there is an action taken towards it.
• Reviewing, registering & monitoring trends for all NCRs.
• Reviewing final documentation.
Work Experience
As Welding Inspector in Workshop As Following:
- Ensure approved welding procedures, methods and consumables are used by qualified personnel to ensure all quality requirements of construction and fabrication are met in accordance with Company procedures and international codes of practice.
- Monitor Welder performance and conduct visual inspections of welds and repairs of welds in accordance with Company procedures and international codes of practice.
- Interview and select Welders and verify qualifications of Welders for project requirements.
- Provide verification of electrodes backing and holding temperature including control and issue.
- Check, inspect and test incoming welding materials to ensure they meet job quality specifications.
- Undertake workshop verification of welding machine and electrode baking and storage to ensure all equipment meets job requirement specifications.
- Provide technical guidance for welding sequence and distortion control in accordance with procedures and job requirements.
- Conduct fit up and dimension inspections as per Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and review radiography test film.
- Check & record welding parameters and verify compliance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and technical procedures.
- Review All Applicable Drawing & Standards.
- Check Welds Joint edge geometric.
- Check Joint fit up.
- Check the Welding Procedure and Welder qualifications.
