• Conducting internal audits against requirements of Integrated Management System (
Nuclear Power plant, Kalpakkam -Chennai -
India)
• Responsible to the company management to establish, implement and maintain the safety
system in accordance with company HSE plan and manual.
• Perform regular Safety Compliance Inspections and to ensure implementation of safe
working procedures & best practices.
• Investigate all accidents / incidents, advice corrective and remedial action.

• Routine inspection of fire pumps, fire alarms systems and other fire and safety equipments.
• Carryout routine inspection and evaluation of the plant workplace to identify any non
conformance with operational safety rules, regulation and safe working practices.
• Ensure that the relevant P.P.E. is worn by every person on the work site.
• Co- ordinate and conduct fire & emergency drills.
• Conduct Safety Orientation/Safety Induction Training for new employees and visitors at all
level.
• Observe /assist supervision during the delivery of Toolbox Talks and Crew HSE meetings.
• Monthly inspection of fire fighting system and maintain proper records.
• Implementation of Lock Out and Tag Out System.
• Attending Client HSE meetings.
• Carrying out inspections for construction equipment and permit to work along with
attached documents at site prior to starts work.
• Preparing & maintaining various reports including the results of inspections and
investigations.
• Advising employees about safe and healthy work practices and ensuring safety of
Supervisors.
Manage and Implement Company HSE Plan, HSE Policy, HSE management system requirement,
organizational mission and ensuring construction projects are delivered safely on schedule.
• Prepare and get approval for HSE Plan, HSE procedure and Hazard/Risk assessment for all
Construction activities including High potential risk and High Voltage activities.
• Ensure Compliance of HSE legislation, and Monitor the effectiveness of HSE Management System in
reducing HSE risks including construction, threats to the environment and local
community/employees.
• Preparing site emergency plan and implementing the same as required. Investigate all accidents &
near-misses and generating report based in findings.
• Take initiatives to prevent major incidents by implementing proactive safety observation procedures
and precautions prevalent with the latest in construction industry.
• Designing safety awareness programs and educating employees on safety matters & adherence.
Preparing report / investigating incident, inspecting lifting equipment and ensuring validity of
certification
• Implementing precaution and safety measures at work place to control identified risk and ensuring the
health & safety of employees
• Coordinating HSE Internal and External audits, Ensure compliance of Corrective and
Preventative Actions against Audit Observations/NCRs.
• Investigating potential hazards & danger occurrences and examining the cause of accident at the
workplace
• Carrying out risk assessment of hazards associated with work equipment assess exciting and new
equipment
• Formulating and implementing safe systems of work(SSOW) including PTW, JSA, Personal Risk
Assessment, Immediate and Root Cause Analysis
• Prepare and monitor HSE resource allocation, Emergency Preparedness/Response, Permit to work
system, HSE Training requirements, HSE statistics & records according to the Company requirement.
• Liaise with Client and Contractors for the improvement of HSE Management, Give guidance and
render advice to staff on the matters pertaining to HSE.
