As a mechanical engineer i am responsible for the following works:
* Installation of all HVAC equipment such as Chillers, Air Handling Units, Computer Room Air Handler Units, Fan Coil Units, DX or Package Units, Chilled Water Pumps, Thermal Storage Tanks, Expansion Tank, Air Separator, Make Up Water Tank, Make Up Water Pumps, Chemical Pot Feeder, Chemical Feeder Pump.
* Installation of fire protection system which includes:
Wet Pipe Sprinkler System (Electric Fire Pump, Diesel Fire Pump, Booster Pump, Alarm Check Valve, Pressure Release Valve, Flow Meter, Zone Control Valves, Supervisory Switch, Sprinkler Piping, Sprinklers, Smoke and Heat Detectors, Test and Drain Valve).
FM-200 (Cylinders, Piping, Manifold, Nozzles, Smoke Detectors, Heat Detectors, Abort Switches, Manual Pull Stations, Maintenance Switches, Fire Alarm Panels)
NOVEC (Cylinders, Piping, Manifold, Nozzles, Smoke Detectors, Heat Detectors, Abort Switches, Manual Pull Stations, Maintenance Switches, Fire Alarm Panels)
Foam Suppression (Bladder Tank, Alarm Check Valve, Water Pump, Piping, Smoke or Heat Detector, Drain Valve)
* Installation of Ducting and Chilled Water Piping including gate valve, strainer, check valve, double regulating valve, 2 way and 3 way motorized valve.
* Installation of thermal insulation on chilled water pipes and ducts according to the specifications.
* Air balancing and water balancing for ducting and chilled water piping respectively.
* Preparation of shop drawings in accordance with design drawings.
* Preparation of As Built drawings after completion of work according to the installation done at site.
* To find out the quantity of materials required to finish the work and order it to the procurement department accordingly.
* Follow up with the procurement department and suppliers to deliver the material as required at site to avoid delay.
* Raising the request for material inspection to the consultant for the approval.
* Raising the request for inspection of work done at site for the approval from consultant.
* Testing and Commissioning of HVAC equipment.
* Conducting room integrity test for checking the tightness of room or enclosure protected by FM-200 and NOVEC system.
* After completion of work, raising the quantity survey sheet to the client for claiming money.
* Assigning work to the supervisors and assistant engineers according to the schedule.
* Preparing progress reports for the project.
* Supervise the team at site.
* Reporting to the senior engineer about the progress of project.
* Installation of HVAC equipment, Ducting, Chilled Water Piping.
* Quantity surveying according to the requirement.
* Preparing work progress report.
* Holding joint tour of site with client for approval of work done.
Holding a degree of Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. Attended various workshops and visit to the factories and companies during the coarse. Completed Minor and Major Vocational training related to the mechanical engineering.
