Involved with Murco (Westerleigh) oil transfer station, terminal works included layout details for tank bases to BS2654, drainage layout, paving, fencing, bund walls, fire ponds, car park, wash area, roundabout and office buildings.

•Produced R C and steelwork general layout drawings and details for residential buildings, schools for major projects with Architects and Property Developers.

Based at Structural Engineer's office, projects included:
Elderly Peoples Homes (Rainham) - producing G.A.s detailing of R.C. and masonry works

•Romford Town Hall Extension - G.A. and detailing of R.C. retaining walls, staircases, tank slabs and sub-station works

Worked on Theale Business Park, with vertical & horizontal alignments, layout of roundabouts for road improvement works, drainage / pipe calculations and preparation of road marking drawings.
•Also produced G.A.s for multi-storey car park and liaison with Statutory Undertakers Authorities for Ford Motor Co. for realignment of the A13 Trunk Road

for this project producing contract drawings being involved with R.C. / steelwork and concrete foundation drawings and detailing of structural elements such as R.C. walls, staircases, lift shafts, column and beam layouts.

Experience gained on the G.A. drawings for piled foundations, sheet piling for the temporary works and the layout of bridge abutments with R.C. details.
•Assistant for the layout for the steelwork arrangement of the superstructure for fabrication detail drawings, task included the design of the control cabin (timber/R.C. structure) from the Architect's Brief.

E. E. C. Vehicle Study (for DTp)

•Responsible for carrying out the various loading conditions imposed by the various lorries / positions also carried out the analysis, using influence line diagrams and produce the drawing with the data on bridges with different spans.

Involved with tender documents preparation, Bill of Qualities and organisation for site meetings with Contractors and the Statutory Undertakers for demolition works and service diversions.
•Carrying out surveys for road reconstruction and illustrations for proposed schemes of road alignments using C.A.D. in conjunction with contract drawings.
•General arrangement drawings of the R.C. acid tank, with construction details, together with bar bending schedules.
•From September 1986 was in control of the Annual Term Contract for the Minor Works and Highway Maintenance, including the administration and preparation of documents, with the assessment of the tender analysis.
•Attendance at meetings with the Contractors and writing the minutes, and ensuring the projects are in accordance with the programmes.
•Acted as Clerk of Works on various Highway Schemes
•Dealt with correspondence from solicitors in relation to search enquiries and the Section 38 Agreement in compliance with the Highways Act 1980.

Structural Steelwork Engineers)

•Employed in the drawing / design office, responsible to Squad Leader for the production of general arrangement drawings for industrial buildings
•Also structural steelwork details for fabrication and erection details. The projects were mostly industrial portal frame structures or office buildings up to contract stage for steelwork.
