•Managing King Fahd Satellite Telecommunication City (KFSTC), especially with operation & maintenance.
•Responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, ticket escalation and follow-up to resolve Issues permanently in NOC.
•Log all activities in the IT Service management tool (Remedy), ensuring appropriate and consistent details is captured and updated throughout the incident life cycle.
•Faults Management with log analysis, configure and troubleshoot faults across a variety of system particularly satellite modems, up converters, down converters, High Power Amplifiers (HPA), Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA), Line Drivers, Low Noise amplifiers (LNA), Antenna Control Unit (ACU) and its subsystem.
•Lead technical resolution when performing emergency restoral actions on ground station equipment, including: RF-, IF- and Baseband equipment.
•Lead preventative and periodic maintenance checks of ground station equipment and associated sub-systems, validating recordings and reviews for any anomalies and taking the appropriate action to correct.
•Determine proper methods for testing equipment and RF/IF systems chains and interpret the results to verify normal/abnormal conditions of equipment.
•Serve in engineering support role as assigned for analysis, design, development, and implementation activities
•Prepare reports and updates as needed.
•Quality control and integrity checks of all incoming and outgoing video and audio signals.
•Responsible of smooth satellite operations of SAMAA TV Lahore bureau looking after managing, planning, troubleshooting & implement operations of 24 hours of DSNGs & Fix satellite Link & also covered many accidental incidents, VIP addresses, Long march and Outdoor News Bulletin via OB Van.
•To provide support to live, time critical TV productions.
•To accurately log incidents accurately including technical response and action taken.
•To implement contingency procedures in response to planned or unexpected events.
•To handover incident and information across shift changes.
•Troubleshoot and identify sources of problems and resolve issues.
•Up gradation of Digital Satellite News Gathering (DSNG) from DVB-S to DVB-S2 and integration of audio and video Mixers/Processor.
•Monitoring and troubleshooting of DSNGs and uplink equipment for 24/7 live coverage & highest standards of reliability and quality of service.
•Maintenance and operation of different type of Satellite Dishes like ADVENT and INET VU which used for live operation.
•Perform equipment installation & maintenance activities to avoid disruptions in communications & ensure efficiency of operations, analyzes reports, records & recommendations to determine whether equipment should be repaired or replaced.
•Managing Riyadh Satellite Earth Station, especially with operation & maintenance.
•Responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, ticket escalation and follow-up to resolve issues permanently in NOC
•PMR (Preventive maintenance routine) daily, weekly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly of all RF section and maintain record.
•Operation & maintenance of Ku & C Band 3 KW HPAs.(Klystron & TWT)
•Operation & maintenance of Ku band 650 W CHPAs & 700W MPAs.
•Performance test, power level adjustment and frequency tuning of HPAs.
•Operation & maintenance of Antenna Control Unit (ACU), Line Drivers & LNA controller.
•Responsible to up link the special T.V transmissions e.g. Hajj and others.
•Co-ordination with Satellite operators (Intelsat and Arab sat operation center (IOC&AOC) and with far end to perform SSOG.
•Responsible for round the clock field operation of SCPC links throughout Pakistan by using Ku Band technique.
•Periodically execute preventive and corrective maintenance for Satellite equipment, troubleshooting and operation of KU-Band Fix Link.
•Monitoring and troubleshooting of DSNGs, and uplink equipment for 24/7 live coverage & highest standards of reliability and quality of service.
•Establishing Satellite link for Live Coverage through DSNG (digital satellite news gathering) And OB (outdoor broadcast) Vans.
•Maintenance and operation of different type of Satellite Dishes like ADVENT and INET VU which used for live operation.
•Responsible of smooth satellite operations of City News Network head office looking after managing, planning, troubleshooting & implement operations of 24 hours of DSNGs & Fix satellite Link.
•Participate in installation of state of art DSNG vans capable of being used as 4 camera OB van.
•To perform equipment installation & maintenance activities to avoid disruptions in communications & ensure efficiency of operations
•To work preparations for covering important events includes planning, organizing, leading & controlling of subordinate staff.
•To perform operational duties in NCR, PCR and MCR as required.
•Routing of A/V signal from the IRDs to their destination.
•Hands on working experience on different broadcasting equipment such as: Video switcher, video router, audio mixer, hybrid system, transmission system, Networking switches and routers.
