• Formulated macro and tactical asset class views across credit, equity, and alternative asset classes through fundamental analysis.
• Carried out a deep analysis of various domestic and international securities and constantly monitored and examined their financial performance.
• Processed large amounts of quantitative and qualitative information to identify possible external influences on investment return.
• Led research, development, and enhancement of new equity, credit, and alternative product offerings.
• Executed across the full range of activities in the strategy development process - problem definition, framework development, hypothesis generation, data gathering, robust analysis, and financial modeling.
• Provided clear recommendations and presentations, developed the business case, & assisted with the execution of key strategic initiatives.
• Performed a deep dive sector-wise quantitative and qualitative research by analyzing the client's and its competitor's annual reports and sell-side reports to better understand industry-wise dynamics.
• Collated and interpreted market perceptions about our client from fund managers and analysts.
• Worked extensively on Perception Studies and IR Proposals with Partner and Managers.
• Used Bloomberg Terminal, Thomson Eikon, and Capital IQ to analyze firms, and sectors and interpret results.
• Proficient in business valuation methods such as DCF, CCM, and CTM.
• Listening to and interpreting quarterly earnings calls.
• Stay up to date on all news to determine the extent to which our clients may be impacted.
• Function as a buy-side intern by researching Indian listed firms across various industry sectors such as banking, NBFC/HFC, capital goods, retailing etc.
• Perform bottom-up analysis of firms prior to calls with the firm's investor relations and/or management.
• Attend investor conferences and webinars to facilitate research to present investment trends/ideas to Fund Manager.
• Understanding business models and management discussion by analyzing annual reports, financial filings and other sources to gather, synthesize and interpret data on sectors to shortlist companies for investments.
• Writing research notes, and in-depth reports and preparing presentations to facilitate investment decisions.
• Working in partnership with senior management as well as other buy-side firms to analyze publicly traded companies.
