• • Accomplishments:
- I’ve established the underwriting and policy administration sections from scratch.
- Convincing the actuary of the profitability of the visitor insurance and the need to reduce the price from the beginning, this led to the monopoly of the market and the establishment of a portfolio with excellent performance which in turn led to continuity in controlling the market.
- Convincing our administration of the great benefits of the Individual Medical Insurance and helping in establishing the retail section in the company. Then, developing it into SME insurance section later.
- Converting a bad business, of a major account, into profitable one by persuading these corporates to take steps in changing some benefits and limits in addition to some administrative and control measures.
- Participating in establishing two new computer systems (in to separate periods) for the medical department, which has more interaction with users (i.e. medical providers and customers).
- Creating and training an underwriting team by teaching them the mathematical and statistics aspects of the process.
- Coordination with “Waseel” for better on-line solutions for the preapproval section, in addition to a smart paperless system of faxes.
- Creating a new computer system for notifying the appointed medical providers with the policies’ details; integrated with our data base system.
- Establishing two new tasks within the claims section: “roving doctors” and “investigators”.
• Duties:
- Supervising the department's actions in the absence of the Medical Insurance Manager.
- Supervising quotations, especially matching the rates with the actuarial rates, correspondence with the actuary if special competitive rates are needed and follow-up with customers.
- Supervising policy administration functions (i.e. additions, deletions and amendments to the policies).
- Supervising the calculation of performance indicators pertaining to whole portfolio and the due main policies for renewal, matching the rates with the actuarial rates, and negotiations with the customers.
- Issuing new policies.
- Major customer services issues, ex-gratia and correspondences.
- Preparing necessary statistics especially for regulatory bodies.
- Supervising replies on customer complaints received though CCHI.
- Participating in the meetings with the Actuary and making department's policies and strategies.
- Training.

Accomplishments:-
- I managed to ease all the department’s tasks adequately and quickly applications by programming it with my own-made Excel computer.
- I suggested and participated in implementing mechanisms and procedures to control medical claims and to develop the department’s work in general.
- I was involved in establishing a medical network (contacts, contracts, and correspondence)
- I setup a vast database of prospective clients including renewal date for each. In addition, I managed to open new marketing channels and setup new marketing promotional plans.
- I suggested new ideas and slogans for a promoting campaign.

- Underwriting statistics needed for experience rating (Burning Cost, IBNR, Loss Ratio, etc…)
- All reinsurance correspondences.
- All Reinsurance Quarterly Reports (Premiums and claims bordereau and statement of account)
- All reinsurance statistics (Earned Premium, Loss Ratio, etc…)
- All actuarial reports needed for the actuary expert (Unearned Premium Reserve, mathematical reserve, etc.).
- All reports and statistics needed for the Jordanian Insurance Commission.
- Underwriting procedures and policy issuing.
- Following up Life (Takaful) claims and settlements.
- Training and translation.
Computer Division
The 1st year
System Coordinator:
- Computer System Analysis, Data Entering and continuous reports of troubleshooting, problems, insufficiency and solutions for a new (prototype) computer system.
