- Responsible for the coordination of containers within the port or harbor.
- Undertake measures to prevent the outbreak of fire on board and to ensure that fire fighting equipment is in readiness all the time.
- Avoid collisions or incidents by managing movements from a port control center.
- Maintain a daily check and record of cargo loaded or discharged.
- Ensure the safe operation of all ship’s cargo handling gears.
- Always checking the identity, exact purpose and name of organization represented for every person who comes onboard.
- Greeting customers and scheduling service appointments
- Cataloguing customers concerns and comments
- Writing service orders and descriptions of problems and repair problems into standard repair terminology
- Explaining repairs to customers
- Test-driving vehicles to confirm service repairs
- Estimating the cost and time needed for repairs
- Handling customer complaints
- Consult with mechanics about necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive work.
- Manage and oversee the service center’s workflow and scheduling
- Call customers to inform them of changes in service or to let them know their car is ready for pick-up
• Maintain receipts, records, and withdrawals of the stockroom
• Receive, unload, and shelve supplies, Perform other stock-related duties, including returning, packing, pricing, and labeling supplies
• Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report those to accounting for reimbursements and record keeping
• Rotate stock and coordinate the disposal of surpluses
• Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control
• Coordinate the handling of freight, the movement of equipment, and necessary minor repairs
