- Playing a key role in developing and reviewing HSE safety procedures, guidelines, and tools, monitoring their implementation to ensure compliance with local and international standards.
- Conducting regular site inspections to identify and address hazardous conditions, taking immediate corrective action as needed.
- Monitoring the work environment to identify any unsafe acts or conditions, following up to ensure corrective measures were implemented.
- Conducting site HSE inductions for new employees and visitors, as well as refresher training as needed to ensure that all crew members were certified per company standards.
- Developing and maintain site emergency plans, conducting regular drills to ensure all employees were prepared in the event of an emergency.
- Identifying equipment that require regular inspection and maintenance, ensuring that all inspections were carried out in accordance with company procedures and manufacturing requirements.
- Ensuring that all chemicals and hazardous materials handle safely, in accordance with the Safety Data Sheet.
- Actively participating in site HSE meetings, presenting safety data and statistics, communicating HSE alerts and lessons learned, and discussing HSE-related issues with the crew.
- Ensuring that all HSE-related incidents are reported, investigated, and corrective actions implemented to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
- Ensure that work permits are implemented for critical and non-routine activities to promote safety and prevent accidents in the workplace.
- Implementing a waste management plan to ensure that hazardous materials are disposed of in compliance with local environmental authorities and company requirements.
Played a critical role in ensuring that all departments within the organization were in compliance with HSE policies and procedures. I provided guidance and support to departments, ensuring they understood and implemented the necessary safety measures. It was my responsibility to ensure that the workplace met all local, state, and international safety and health regulations. I conducted regular safety inspections and assessments, carefully documenting my findings and presenting them to management. By doing so, I ensured that any necessary corrective actions were taken promptly to mitigate risks and improve safety.
As a Safety Engineer, I played a crucial role in promoting a culture of safety by implementing and monitoring safety policies and procedures in the workplace. I conducted regular inspections to identify and evaluate potential safety hazards, taking immediate corrective actions to prevent accidents and injuries. Collaborating closely with the project team, I prepared comprehensive Risk Assessments for critical activities, ensuring that all potential risks were identified and addressed.
