Abul Hasim Molla

- I am assigned to perform the techno-functional business analyst role. The main aspects of this role is to come up with end-to-end solution based on the business input from business area; mainly finance and risk. In my short tenure I have integrated some small source feeds into the existing ODS as well as designed some ETL’s to perform reporting activity. In my current project I am working on risk area to implement Liquidity Coverage Ratio report for Saudi regulatory board SAMA. The complex solution has been designed in Informatica. I am responsible to gather the requirements; as a Source System analyst to perform analysis and finally as a technical lead to produce High Level and Low Level Technical design document. I was also assigned to execute the project mentoring the development and UAT.

- I worked as a capacity of Source System Analyst/Business analyst in my last two projects. In one project we have channelized the credit card and loan application from Capstone System to Siebel system. And in the other project we have set up a process to get credit instrument details from Simah and push the responses in datawarehouse for further analytical purpose.
- As an analyst my role is to write the functional and Technical Specification documents by analysing the requirements.
- Involved in Requirement Scoping and identifying high priority requirement for implementation.
- Validated technical designs created by IT developers against functional specifications
- To perform gap analysis comparing the existing attributes in datawarehouse and missing and required attributes from business.
- Conducted Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions to develop and agree upon a system that focuses on the business requirements.
- Participated regularly in Walkthroughs and Review meetings with Project Manager, QA Engineers and Development team to ensure a timely delivery of the projects.
- Assisted the QA team in reviewing test cases, test plans and tested the final application for usability testing to verify whether all the user requirements were catered to by the application. Prioritized issues and allocated development and QA resources to ensure timely and quality deliverables.

- I am assigned to do the source system analysis and creating design documents and then further mentoring the junior developers in the development activity. I also assist others in case of functional and technical difficulties.
- Manage the deployment activities in a huge environment consisting approx. 2000 sessions and more that 300 PLSQL procedures.
- Create plan and develop IDQ map to increase the data value in EDW.
- Performance tuning activity in Informatica map as well as in Oracle PLSQL procedures.
- Part of the recruitment team as a technical matter expert.
- Extract data from Siebel, Systematics, Bankworks, VisionPlus, Eximbills etc.
- Workflow and process automation using shell script or scheduler. Data migration and data cleansing.
- Solely developed Informatica Deployment tool in VB .NET and reduces deployment time by 80%.
- Maintain the standard of coding and mapping as a administrator.
- Managed the role as a capacity planner to keep Informatica version up-to-date by upgrading. Installed and implemented Informatica Data Quality.

- I was assigned to review the existing Informatica maps to propose some solution to make the batch faster.
- I fine-tuned couple of Informatica maps and suggested better way of implementing the application.

Performance tuning of Existing maps

- I worked as a developer/Lead for re-engineering of the existing datawarehouse and datamart for faster performance. We have added some new source and consolidated the existing sources.
- Business requirement gathering, source system analysis and impact analysis for the project.
- Created business requirement docs and design docs for the changes to be made.
- Handled a small development team.
- Developed UNIX codes and ETL maps.

- Joined as a fresher and then promoted as a onsite extraction lead, I have worked almost every sub areas of this project. Broadly categorized my roles were as follows:-
- Requirement gathering and Business analysis.
- Analyzed the functional specs provided by the data architect and created technical specs documents for all the mappings to be created.
- Develop logical and physical data models that capture current state/future state data elements and data flows using Erwin.
- Extensively used Power Centre/Mart to design multiple mappings to implement the rules to fulfil business logic, data cleansing activity and validating data.
- Coded UNIX shell script so that Informatica sessions can be invoked from shell as a batch. That shell script also can take care of control mechanism.
- Modify datamart using Epiphany. Generate report/campaign template in Epiphany for end-users.
- Coordination between onsite-offshore as a coordinator.

Riyad Bank has an enterprise wise datawarehouse built on the Oracle Financial Data model and it is getting populated from diverse legacy sources like systematics, Sybase, SQL Server, Flat files and even from MS Access. We are in a process to streamline the incoming data sources. Still we are in a process to add new sources. Also source to end channel is getting created for financial application like KRM, BASELII, ALGO, ACLM and ACA and core banking.

Customer Knowledge and Relationship Management (CKRM) is the worldwide CRM data warehouse of HP. It serves as the repository for customer related data (3600 view: customer profile information, product registration information, sales transaction information, click-through from campaigns, etc.), current and history, with the objective of providing customer business intelligence and knowledge management services. The key current business usages/services are customer campaign management, customer valuation & segmentation, customer analytics, and executive management dashboards & reporting.
