Estimation Engineer (Having experienced of procurement as well) at Yusuf Ahmed Alghanim & Sons, (Engineering Group)

Duties of Procurement:-
 Conduct market research and collect information of suppliers.
 Evaluate suppliers and negotiate on prices and purchase agreements.
 Draft letter of intent mentioning scope of work and terms conditions.
 Maintain proper communication and relationship with suppliers.
 Prepared of price comparison.
 Prepared compliance statement and forward to supplier in order to get quotation complying with
Specification requirements.
 Organized committee meeting to finalize suppliers and the product.
 Reviewed technical submittal received from supplier and submit for approval.
 Reviewed consultant comments on submittal and followed up with supplier to revise the
Submittal complying with consultant comments.
 Prepared procurement status report.
 Ensure goods are delivered as promised and meet quality.
 Maintain purchase history in order to get better discount from suppliers.
Duties of Estimation:-
 Managed the commercial projects and ensured that the estimate provided was effective.
 Floating enquiries & preparing comparison as per specification requirements.
 Handled and prepared a list of all indirect costs that were incurred in the project
Such as the manpower, temporary facilities and the other running expenses.
 Lead to prepare the complete cost of bid after analyzing and estimates whole tender
And compiling in accordance with different discipline to evaluate the total cost of the project.
 Prepared detailed records of the estimate provided a break up, which included the material
Cost and the materials required for the project.
 Coordinating and analyzing specifications, drawings and suppliers quotations and preparing
Technical comparative statement.
 Ensured that the work was done within the estimate by coordinating with site Engineer
during execution of the project.
 Preparing change orders and variation effected due to change of specification and design.
 Adding required material to SAP as per specific project requirements.
 Designing of Plumbing & Fire Fighting system for various design & built projects.
 Adjusting weekly planned margin & coordinate with planning department.
 Materials take off.
