Heading the Structural Design Team of the Engineering department of the company and directly
reporting to Director of Engineering and Architecture.
Responsible for choosing the structural design approach, keeping in mind the economy as well
as ease in production and erection aspects.
Manage the design and drawing office
Ensure that all design work, both internally and externally is completed to agreed deadlines and
standards.
Manage and develop the existing design team
Review and analyze project tender drawings
Prepare fabrication shop drawings
Attend contract launch meetings
Maintain and develop in house design manuals
Schedule, conduct and physically participate in meetings related to safety, quality, delivery, cost
and product problems
Coordinate procurement of raw material, spares, consumables, etc.
Prepare and issue production reports on daily, weekly & monthly basis
Coordinate site start up activities with Erection Engineer as required
Preparation of Complete Structural Design Package for the submission to the Client/Consultant. Attend meetings with clients to clarify their doubts about the design.
Creation of BIM in Vertex BD to generate machine files to produce panels using Howick CNC
machine

Accountabilities:-
Monitors project controls within the discipline.
Reviews design documents of a moderate degree of complexity and prepare comments and recommendations.
Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports and proposals.
Design plans and specifications, Interpret plans, regulations, and specifications.
Clear understanding of plans and specification
Experienced various design softwares to perform engineering tasks & structural systems analysis & designing of Metering Skid, Oil Water Separator, Sludge Trap, Vessel Foundation, Steel Platform Design, Transformers foundation, Valve Boxes, Pump
foundations etc.
Executing design & detail designs of structural & 3d modeling of steel structures and the generation & the bill of material.
Prepare Structural Calculation Reports as per Aramco Engineering Standards.
Preparing MTO & Bar Bending Schedule.
Structural steel detailing, general arrangements, layouts, elevations, sections.
Taking part in design stage, discussions with clients, presentations & working drawings along with the finalization of the scheme
Verifying correctness of prepared drawings to identify and rectify deviations
Preparation and editing of 3D model of structures using X Steel.
Preparation of various connection details for Girder, beams, columns, bracings, base plates.
Analysis & design of pipe racks, pipe supports, Equipment foundations as per International & SAUDI ARAMCO standard.
Establishing a list of discipline deliverables, man-hour estimation of project. Control, monitor and progress these deliverables to an agreed schedule within a project.
Checking of calculations, technical notes, requisitions, specifications, drawings and deliverables produced within Discipline.
Review and approval of vendor drawing.
Analysis & design of horizontal, vertical vessel, Storage tank & other miscellaneous foundations.
Follow up the necessary paperwork and obtain the necessary approvals from clients and other entities in order to perform, complete and close the job.
Periodically reviewing the design as per comments & as Built design.
Provide technical expertise to facilitate project implementation.
Prepare the necessary job completion documents and get the approval from the
customers/clients to facilitate the payment of invoices.
Prepare staff appraisal and assessments as and when needed.
Participate into the preparation of technical bids and proposals.
Study telecom network plans and extract the necessary bill of quantity (BOQ).
Making drawings, specifications and computer models of structures.
Analyzes problems to find a quick solution or to forward it to appropriate department.
Resolves the blocking issues.
