Responsible for the Network & Communication group King FaisaL University in Dammam .
Starting January’98, I was transferred to the campus site in Hofuf to be responsible for the University’s new large network installation and administration.
·Installation & configuration of the Microsoft Windows NT Network operation system.
·Network administration & backup.
·IIS4 installation and administration.
·Installation and configuration of several types of network printers
·Installation & Configuration of various types of MODEMS (Motorola, AT&T, Racal Datacom, Hayes, MultiTech...), leased lines & dial-up in different platforms (IBM mainframe, VAX, PCs, X.25 PDN…)
NOVELL NETWARE:
·Design of LAN layout.
·Installation & configuration of the NetWare Network Operating Systems (ver 3.11, 3.12, 4.1).
·Network administration & backup.
·Internetworking Novell LANs both locally and remotely using both leased lines and PSTN.
·Installation and operation the NetWare Asynchronous gateway to allow remote users to login into the network.
·Connecting the Novell Network to IBM mainframe (4381) using an Arabic/Latin EICON SNA gateway (SITER / VIGOR).
·Installation & configuration of the Novell Printer Servers
·Design & Maintenance of different cabling types (Coaxial, UTP, STP...) with different topologies (BUS, STAR, etc).
·Design of the Data & Telephone Network cabling system in different sites
