Responsibilities:
Make note of the customer complaints and analyze the type and extent of the damage
Examine the electric motor and ensure it delivers optimum performance without any wastage
Measure the performance of the generator and note the velocity, speed, pressures and revolutions per minute, voltage, etc
Utilize the various measurement instruments such as ammeters, voltmeters and oscilloscopes to test the efficiency of the equipment
Fix up the detached parts and tighten the loose connections to correct malfunctioning of the electrical systems
Dissemble the generator set to examine the main engine and identify the failing components
Prepare the right solvent to give chemical treatment to the rusted and corroded parts
Use the hand tools such as screwdrivers, saws, sickles, shovels, scoops to perform repairs
Solder the broken parts of the equipments and ensure they are fixed firmly to the main machine
Examine the engine parts such as coil leads, carbon brushes, motor, transmitter, etc
Test the batteries and replace the exhausted ones
Record the details of the repairs undertaken and the materials purchased and used for repairs

1) Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
2) Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
3) Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
4) Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
5) Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
6) Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

1) Align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates, and microscopes.
2) Analyze and record test results, and prepare written testing documentation.
3) Inspect parts for surface defects.
4) Install electrical parts and hardware in pannel or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.
5) Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly.
6) Repair, rework, and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances.
Electro-mechanical technicians combine knowledge of mechanical technology with knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits. They install, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade electronic and computer-controlled mechanical systems, such as robotic assembly machines.
Performs installation, maintenance, inspection, repair, and testing of heating, mechanical, electrical to include pumps, fans, and compressors. Sets up rigging required to set pumps/fans. Utilizes precision instruments to insure proper belts, chains, coupling, bearings, and other drive components. Performs critical preventive and repair maintenance, lubrication and inspections. Replaces and adjusts packing and seals. Performs routine and preventive maintenance on specialty equipment such as heat wheels. Sizes pumps and fans based on system parameters and pump/fan curves. Reads blueprints, works from specification and follows instructions both written and oral. Cleans, charpens, and adjusts tools as required. Inspects completed work for conformance with specifications, requirements, and compliance with applicable safety codes and regulations. Performs work in accordance with established safety procedures. Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
