Managing the design stages for the housing, the urban and the infra- structure .
Developing and managing the budget, schedule, and deliverables for project phase and functional area.
Coordinate with both consultants & subcontractors.
Following up the clients requests & reply their queries.
Coordinate with tendering, contracting & procurement sections.
•Assist the client in the design brief stage from the point of codes, standards and common practice.
•Review the design brief in terms of deliverables, scope of work and design brief and send recommendation if any.
•Assist the client with design/technical recommendation/s whenever needed.
•Evaluating contracting professional services to evaluate the Company’s needs based on the statewide facilities assessment, or facilities master plan.
•Assist in the client in determining the appropriate delivery method for the proposed project if it will be Design/Bid/Build, Design Build OR Cost plus with a guaranteed maximum income.
•Assist in selecting the appropriate consultants through a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and Request for Proposals (RFP) process.
•Assist in selecting the Consultants of any required sysstem.
•Review contracts between the selected vendors and company for services to be performed.
•Change event management; review, comment and assist the district in managing any change orders or potential change orders for the project.
•Review submittals for general conformance with construction documents on the Owner’s behalf, and ensure that the Owner is kept apprised of items that they need to make decisions on.
•Ensure that appropriate parties are reviewing and stamping submittals and determine if additional consultants need to review them.
•Provide comment to the Owner on adequacy of materials specified.
•RFI review; review RFI’s to ensure contractor and design/engineer/consultants are providing thorough and efficient responses, and that RFI responses are being forwarded to/from the appropriate parties.
•Advise Owner of RFI’s that may incur additional cost and/or scope change prior to implementing work.
•Ensure a reasonable, realistic, budget is developed and maintained and make sure that the budget is maintained without compromising the quality or integrity of the project.
•Make sure all fees, profit, overhead, contingencies, etc. are in line with industry standards.
•Attend, or conduct, construction meetings with contractor, architect, and major subcontractors that are on site.
•Attend and provide comment on the design advisory committee meetings to assist the owner in making design decisions that impact the operations and maintenance of the completed project.
•Help the Company resolve disputes or claims that may occur.
Direct staff of 35+ engineers and drftsmen in different trades, for the consistency of processes standards.
St. Regis Hotel/Nile Corniche Project is a mixed use 9360 square meters land and 197200 square meters built up area development, including the construction of a Hotel and Serviced Apartments, situated on the River Nile Corniche in Downtown Cairo. The development consists of a four-level subterranean car park, an eight-level podium structure and two high rise concrete framed towers, consisting of 37 and 38 levels, respectively. The project consists of 102 luxury Serviced Apartments in Tower 1 (North Tower) with four penthouse levels, Tower 2 (South Tower) having 226 standard rooms, 60 hotel suites, 98 serviced apartments and 16 luxury residential apartments. The Podium Structure consists of eight levels of functions rooms, restaurants, front of house, and service accommodation.

MEP Engineering Project Manager -FOCUS Engineering

My Duties as MEP Manager contains but not limited to the below:
Responsible for developing project schedules; facilitating planning and design processes; coordinating design reviews.
• Engaged with the Engineering Team throughout the project, coordinating and assisting in the development of project requirements, statements of work, drawings, cost estimates, requests for Information, technical evaluations, and other project related documents as required by the contract.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, including environmental, safety, contracting, and appropriate managers and staff elements.
• Ensure project meet validated requirements.
• Maintain current project data for assigned project.
• Manage project during construction, coordinating and directing subcontractors, inspectors, and contract office personnel.
• Attend construction meetings.
• Assist in solving problems that arise during construction, and the preparation of contract related documents required during construction such responses to Requests for Information and Change Orders.
• Keep current on relevant codes and industry practices.
• Use computers/computer software such as information management systems, scheduling programs, spreadsheets, and project tracking programs to solve engineering problems and facilitate work.
• Oversee and implement Mechanical strategies and procedures, whilst ensuring that work is carried out in full compliance with safety and quality management systems.
• Direct staff of 65+ engineers in different departments, for the consistency of processes standards.

Acting as Mechanical Project Manager for all Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Drainage, Irrigation, Water and Sewage Treatment, Kitchen, etc for 250-bedroom 5 stars hotel, with a construction value of MUSD 22. My duties could be summarized as follows:
•Executing the project in accordance with contract’s requirements.
•Organizing the progress meetings with the Client.
•Study design drawings, specifications and contract documents.
•Preparing production schedule for shop and as built drawings.
•Studying all shop drawings and evaluate any modifications that might affect the critical path and write to the Project Manager.
•Assuring that all construction engineers are using the latest revision of shop-drawings.
•Participate in the preparation of project program.
•Coordination of all site activities and subcontractors on site.
•Planning and monitoring progress reporting to the client.
•Interacting with client for approval on drawings/ materials/ suppliers / subcontractors and documentation as applicable.
•Keep records and information regarding variation order and extension of time.
•Obtaining clarifications from client on unclear issues.
•Ensuring site safely and quality construction as per contract agreement.
•Reviewing of Subcontractor’s Payment Certificates.
•Completing the project close out and hand over documentation
▪Technical submittals preparation, review and approval.
▪Handing over the mechanical works partially to the consultant at site by preparation of the inspection request, attending the inspection process with the consultant, recording the comments UP TO closing the inspection with work approval.
▪To ensure that all drawings materials submittals method statements have been prepared in accordance with work requirements .
▪Specialized subcontractor’s evaluation, selection and follow up.
▪To attend site meetings for co-ordination MEP works with current work schedule requirement.
▪Follow up the daily construction activities at site and weekly progress meetings with the site construction engineers reporting to the Project Manager.
▪To ensure that protective measures are taken for completed works to record and inform sub-contractors & Project Management of any damage that may happen .
▪Follow up the mechanical works monthly payment to reach the required monthly target required from the Management.
▪Attendance of the final project handing over activities to the client and preparation of the final operation & maintenance manuals with list of spare parts, consumable materials, etc.
•Working in design and installation of water pressurizing units, R.O. Plants and filtration systems for municipalities and small villas.
•Small swimming pools with its related systems for villas and hotels.
•Water display systems and water cataracts for villas and hotels with internal decoration pools (OAZA fountain - Germany).
•Health clubs for medical and entertainment like saunas and steam baths with its related accessories using American products, USA...
•Construction of sewage treatment plant of compact size.
•Technical assisting the projects general manger for AURORA PUMP, production.
•Reviewing and issuing spare parts provision plan for the running projects. Follow up the day-to-day installation activities of the different sites and reporting directly to the projects general manger.
•Business movement for other products like HMD seal less pumps-UK, Holden and brook pumps-UK and VAG valves Germany. Testing and commissioning works for chilled water pumps and fire pumps. NFPA fire fighting systems installation, commissioning and handling the project to the client.
•Commissioning and start up of diesel engine driven pumps and checking of the control panels, battery chargers, low voltage control, cabling, rotation direction, etc.
