• Supervision in Electrical installation of ATS, Emergency Panels, Unit substation, package substations, pad mounted Transformers, Lighting System, Grounding system, Infra structure.
• Monitoring and Conduct Testing and commissioning of MV and LV Breakers, electrical panels.
• Supervision and Installation of LV and MV Switchgear Installation, Testing and Commissioning.
• Responsible for all RFI’s & RMI’s related to all electrical equipment’s.
• Supervision and Construction of MV Distribution System (Package Substation, Pad Mounted Switches, Manholes, Duct Bank, Main Distribution, Sub Distribution System) inside the premises of Royal Commission.
• Review material submittals and shop drawings. And ensure material as per Royal Commission Standards
• Maintaining monthly/monitoring reports
• As a field electrical engineer in construction management, and application of electrical engineering expertise on electrical distribution and service utility systems for residential and housing developments, buildings - single and multi-story, lighting, infrastructure, and community construction projects.
• Monitoring and inspection of on-site electrical installation activities and testing and commissioning. Provides technical guidance to contractors and utilizes his expertise to ensure that the permanent works are constructed per the contract in accordance with applicable codes, standards, approved drawings and specifications, budget and schedule.
• Reporting directly to the Senior Resident Construction Manager (SRCM) to receive administrative and technical direction in terms of project objectives. Interfaces with other Client's Departments, End Users, and Engineering Department staff, and occasionally with senior management and client representatives. Daily contacts with Contractor's on-site electrical and management staff.
• Witnesses all testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities to assure contractors' compliance with the approved plans and procedures.
• Reviews contractor-submitted shop and as-built drawings, materials submittals, tie-in procedures, project schedules, and work permits; and coordinates with the concerned departments for obtaining their approval and/or their comments.
• Arranges meetings between the contractor and concerned departments to resolve interfacing problems during construction.
• Organizes, coordinates, and conducts in conjunction with the concerned department's acceptance inspections and re-inspections of the completed permanent works until all deficiencies are corrected and signed off.
• Reviews contractors' invoices for the correctness of installed quantities for the electrical portion of the permanent works.
• Attends a bi-weekly meeting between the Client's Construction team and the Contractor.
• Initiates and prepares for SRCM draft electrical related letters, memos or reports to contractors and other Departments.
• Under the direct supervision of the Site Manager, plans, controls and monitors the actual execution of all electrical related works of the project, to ensure that the project will be done in accordance with all the approved construction drawings, contract documents, specifications and all applicable standards.
• Ensured that all site works are done according to all applicable quality standards.
• Reviewed approved IFC (issued for construction), Mark-up & As-built drawings, material submittals and coordinated with the design & review department for their comments.
• Interpreted construction drawings and studies the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to execution of any jobs.
• Monitored for the safety of all electrical s' personnel of the project by ensuring that the project execution will be done according to all applicable health, safety, sanitary and environmental standards.
• Conduct and organize periodically / weekly meetings with contractor about project time schedule, material status, drawings, submittals, manpower status and to address / resolve any issue during Project execution.
• Reviewed & checked contractor's invoices (material & installation) after delivery of material at site and completion of installed electrical material quantities of the permanent work.
• Maintained log book, Issuance of Site Instructions and reported to site manager.
• Prepared and maintained Daily, Weekly & Monthly reports as per Project master plan.
• Reviewed AC/DC Load calculations, single line diagram, lighting calculations, and relays.
• Monitored and Inspected construction of Duct Banks, Manholes, hand holes, cable basements & tunnels.
• Monitored & witnessed the contractor's Installation/activities of following materials and follow with these codes (TMSS, TES, TCS, IEC, ANSI, IEEE, NEMA, SASO).
a. Installation and testing of grounding system (Equipment earthing, reinforcement earthing, steel structure earthing, earthing pit, grounding rods).
b. Installation of 502MVA power transformer with accessories.
c. Installation & testing of 1500kVA power transformer and RMU's
d. Installation & testing of 13.8kV switchgears.
e. Installation, testing, glanding & termination of MV power cables from 13.8kV Switchgears to auxiliary power transformer and RMU's.
f. Installation and testing of Main AC/DC distribution, sub distribution, automatic transfer switch system, outdoor & lighting panels.
g. Installation and testing of lighting systems (wiring, MCB's, indoor/ outdoor lighting fixtures, indoor / outdoor receptacles, lighting poles with loop in, loop out wiring, switches, push buttons, rigid steel pipes, PVC pipes etc.)
h. Testing & commissioning of battery and battery chargers.
i. Cable pulling & termination of LV Power and control cables.
j. Installation Cable Tray system.
• Responsible for implementations and monitoring of all electrical related works at site.
• Estimates, prepares and assigns the resources such as manpower, materials, consumables, equipment, tools, etc., required for all electrical and related works prior to execution.
• Interprets construction drawings and studies the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to execution of any jobs.
• Managed directly and provide engineering and technical supports to all the electrical work groups at site.
• Coordinated with Client / Consultant's representatives for any site instructions and inspection of works (RFI's).
• Submits site daily reports, inspection requests, estimates and all applicable monitoring reports on regular basis or as required.
• Supported the Site Manager in accomplishing all the goals and targets for the electrical groups at site.
• Ensured that all the works done are in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national or international standards.
• Ensures that all site works are done according to all applicable quality standards.
• Dealt and contacted all vendors for ongoing activities, pending issues.
• Reviewed Engineering installation work.
• Site inspections related to transformers, cable trays, HV/LV Switchgears, battery and battery chargers, LCC panels, AC/DC panels, HV/MV/LV cables, lighting system.
• Witnessed of the following tests.
a. CT's and PT's (Ration test, saturation test, insulation resistance test).
b. 380, 110, 13.8kV (Circuit Breaker Timing Test, Contact resistance test, insulation test)
c. Surge Arrester Tests
d. CT, VT Loop Tests
e. All tests related Power Transformer
f. Power cable tests
g. Relay Tests.
