TBC SCHOOLS PROJECT - JEDDAH

Project: KAUST HOUSING EXPANSION PROJECT-300 Villa, Thuwal-KSA
Work Scope : Electrical & low current system
Client: King Abdullah university for science and technology - KAUST

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of Electrical & Low current Shop drawings for project in coordination with design and BIM team
- Ensure proper coordination between Electrical & Low current shop drawings prepared by design team and Electrical & low current shop drawings for external works.
- Ensure proper coordination between Electrical & low current shop drawings and other disciplines (structural, mechanical and architectural).
- Ensure that electrical & low current shop drawings are submitted on time reflecting the latest scope of work as agreed with the Client, and contain sufficient level of details to facilitate construction at site.
- Oversee the preparation of Electrical, LC Material Submittals in coordination with Procurement, Infrastructure and Head office team.
- Ensure that Material are submitted on time and reflects the latest scope of work as per the contract.
- Oversee the preparation/updates of Electrical & LC Material take-Off.
- Ensure that Material Take off does reflect the latest scope of works.
- Issuing & Reviewing Purchase Orders related to the Electrical scope.
- Regularly assess the quality and productivity of electrical works at site (including subcontractors) and provide advice/guidance to the Construction team to improve quality and productivity.
- Assess the impact on cost and time of changes requested by Client.
- Assist the site construction team to solve any technical issue that may be faced at site.
- Review invoices of electrical subcontractors that amount claimed by subcontractors are correct and fair or exceeding the implemented works.
- Report to Management and to Client about the overall electrical progress at site (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction).
- Generally speaking, undertake any other tasks as instructed by the technical Manager and/or the Project Manager in relation with the Electrical scope of work

Beside the above: I worked generally as a technical support for different projects and facilities

Responsibilities at Al-Arrab:

- Execution all electrical installations systems i.e. lighting, power systems including the equipments (SDB’s, MDB’, MCC’s equipments according to the approved design and shop drawings.
- Execution all the low current systems installation I.e. Data & telephone, Fire Alarm system, public address system, etc) as well as the telecom equipments, racks, switches, patch panels and all the related termination work and testing and as per the approved design and shop drawings.
- Undertake of the electrical systems and review engineering design from Concept stage through production details during the tender stage up to the final approvals.
- Ability to review technically the materials offers received from the suppliers and comparing them against the project Specs. Then, coordinating them with the suppliers and consultant in order to get the approvals on the material submittals.
- Ensure work is executed according to the contract Specs, Approved design drawings, agreed Procedures and Method of statements.
- Preparing weekly and monthly Progress reports and assess them against the Project Schedule, cost, time and all the project constraints.
- Providing an input to Quantity Surveyors for interim Payment applications.
- Keen to establish the safety inductions for all teams and workers in order to enforce safety rules and regulations on site and workplace.
- Carry out project work within the agreed deadlines and within the planned budget.
- Manage workload of project discipline engineers and technicians including verification of quality Work competently on an independent basis.
- Participating in the evaluating of staff in terms of the performance of site engineers, Supervisors and foremen
- Iteration on the drawings updates in order to fit newly approved modifications for the red-line and the As-Built drawings.
- Issuing the material requests and following them up with Procurement to issue the PO’s and tracking them until the physical delivery to site as well as until obtaining the official approval by client.
- Preparing and take responsibility for the concept and preliminary engineering solutions for a detailed design.

Responsibilities at Nesma & Partners:
