Part of a training program with the Libancell operator. The program consisted of a general GSM overview focused on the Air Interface and BTS database parameters. Worked on Fault handling, Configuration and Performance Management of the live network at the OMC. Fault Management included hands on maintenance of the various Network Elements.
Masters Thesis: Implementation Aspects and Properties of the UTRAN Interface The Thesis dealt with the Physical layer of the UMTS Radio Access Network (UTRAN). Specifically, the UTRAN FDD Layer 1including multiplexing, channel coding, spreading and modulation. The simulation introduced the promising Multi-User Detection strategy, which has gained significant notoriety as a potential advanced enabling technology for the third-generation of CDMA systems. Several advanced receiver structures were proposed.and a simulation of the Parallel Interfernce Cancellation Detector was performed.
