Responsible for managing Palvest Consulting company, including business development, project management, provision of technical services and professional consulting services. In addition to conducting studies and monitoring and evaluating projects.
I serve as the General Director of Operations. My tasks include but not limited to: Ensure effective and efficient management of major projects including three major projects on local economic development: one LED project supported by the French government; another LED project supported by the Belgian government; and a third LED project supported by the Dutsh government. I am also reponsible to oversee the implementation of the regulations, orders, and decisions issued by the Board of Directors; Follow up the work of the consultants and their contracts to perform services to MDLF; I also follow up the preparation of the final financial statements and the preparation of the next fiscal year budget; upgrade and implement the best practices in HRM system and all staff issues; Ensure proper internal communication among departments and communicate closely and efficiently with the local government units to implement different projects; Monitor implementation of plans and training programs for staff members to raise their efficiency and improve their skills; Cultivate and maintain contacts with donors, contributors, and other Funders of the organization.
Experience with the public, private and civil society institutions and international organizations in Palestine, on institution and capacity building, policy advocacy, management systems, and private and public sector development.
As policy manager, I was responsible for the management of a policy program to support private sector development and economic growth. The responsibilities of this position included but are not limited to the following: A) Establishment of regular relationships between the private and public sector entities critical to an effective private/public sector dialogue; C) Direct involvement in shaping the legislative system for the private sector, E) Lobbying private sector position on potential international agreements. In this positioin, I initiated the first National Trade Dialogue Conference that systemized the efforts for Public Private Partnership (PPP) in Palestine.
Director of International Trade Cooperation. I had the privilege of working with the small team who founded the Ministry of Economy and Trade in 1994. In those four years, I managed to get an extensive experience on industrial, trade and economic issues, working directly with the key economic decision makers in the PA, heads of the business organizations, municipalities, and international consultants and officials. Represented Palestine in many international conferences and events. Furthermore, I was the focal point for most of the economic agreements signed between the Palestinian Authority and the international community, like the association agreement with the EC, EFTA, the U.S, . Canada and a number of agreements with the Arab World..
