• Work closely with the training director and director of finance on farm related planning.
• Prepare -monthly report on the status of planting and harvesting schedules, animal health, program schedules.
• Plan the daily operation of the farm, in coordination with the educational program goals.
• Ensure that the all daily farm related tasks are completed including daily planting, weeding, harvesting, irrigating, soil amendment, and general maintenance.
• Coordinate and oversee the distribution of farm production to end-users, including produce to the cafeteria of NAEC and providing produce for sale to the community, among others.
• Manage a compost operation; maintain garden infrastructure (irrigation, fences, tool repair….), and oversee daily care of the farm animals and farm landscape as needed.
• Manage and ensure the well being of all livestock and poultry present on the farm.
• Work closely with the students studying at ( NAEC) and assist them in their farming activities.
• Lead individuals and groups of visitors around the farm.
• Supervise all farm related laborers.
• Be pro-active in the execution of his tasks and suggest ways to improve operation.
