To assist in all General nursing activities of patients
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
1. Implement departments/units policy and procedure
2. Actively develop understanding of Saudi custom, language and practice
3. Schedule annual leave in consultation with the head nurse
4. Ensure that all documentation is promptly made
5. Report the units supply requirements
6. Liaises with medical and paramedical staff, patients relatives, and the public for attainment of goals and objectives
7. Assist with any data collection required for research or any other information
8. Comply with quality management activities
9. Notify superior of faulty hospital equipment
10. Supervise the work of junior colleagues or newly hired staff
11. Report to maintenance for malfunctioning of instrument/machine during non-dawam time.
12. Check ambulance for medical supplies and equipment functionality as per schedule.
13. Inform head nurse of any significant occurrence.
14. Ensure that all patient related information is kept confidential.
15. Comply with Infection control policy.
16. Be conversant with emergency policies.
17. Comply with the system of unit/ ward check for fire and other hazards.
18. Report safety hazards.
19. Participate in the training program
20. Applies the understanding of rapid assessment of patient's condition and establish ABC of CPR when necessary.
21. Assist in obtaining history of precipitating emergency.
22. Ensure that basic patient's rights are respected.
23. Performs nursing activities related to life support in calm, competent, professional manner.
24. Assist in implementing of special policies related to infectious or communicable disease.
25. Performs complex technical skills associated with sophisticated equipment.
26. Performs other tasks assigned by superior.
27. Assist in the collection of medico-legal specimens and ensure that these specimens are properly labeled, stored and endorsed.
28. Ensure proper admission protocols are carried out.
29. Assist in carrying out aseptic techniques and sterilization procedure.
