Hyperion Planning & Budgeting (Oracle Enterprise Performance Management-EPM)
- Doing a yearly health check for Hyperion, making sure of having the same accounts, cost centers
or locations which are in Oracle before starting the budgeting cycle.
- Updating CAPEX item master list in Hyperion as well as manpower grades and positions
- Making sure that the rules /conditions that are used in Hyperion are working properly as per the
business logic.
- Start sending E-mail notifications to the budget holders asking for any updates regarding the users
who will be engaged in the next budgeting cycle from their directorates.
- Updating Hyperion with the new users (if any), approval flow, Forms.
- Providing Hyperion training for the new users.
- Sending budget guidelines and budget preparation steps to all users.
- Kicking-off the budget exercise.
- Following up the budget process with the end users, making sure that everything is going as
planned, answering their inquiries, solving their issues.
- Review data entered by End User in Hyperion and if required make necessary changes with
comments and then submit the same to Budgeting Head for Approval.
- I was involved in closing budgeting process and submitting finally approved data to top
management.
- Consolidating the proposed budget from the directorates and prepare the reports for top
management.
- Doing any amendments required by the MD office then submitting the budget to the ministries.
- I was actively working on Budge Re-Allocation based on requirement received from end user and
approved by top management.
- Once budget and budget after re-allocation is finalized i was required to transfer the same (write
back data) in ERP GL.
❖ Oracle ERP (12.2.3)
- Creating new summary templates and rollup groups before transferring the budget to Oracle ERP
in order to be able to activate the funds check while raising a PR through the system.
- Integrating the approved budget from Hyperion to Oracle ERP in order to start the day to day
business.
- Pulling (writing back) the budget re-allocation transactions from Hyperion to Oracle ERP.
- Receiving the PRs (Purchase requisitions) from all departments, reviewing them carefully, making
sure that there is available fund to process the PR.
- Processing the correct PRs to the second approver, while rejecting the wrong ones.
- I’m responsible for raising PRs related to budget section through ERP.
- Responsible for creating GRN (Goods Receiving Material) through ERP system.
- Generating reports from the system.
- Updating Organization cost center chart in ERP.
- Updating rollup groups for location, cost center, natural accounts & project segments.
- Updating summary templates.
