- NBC (Nahr el Bared Camp Reconstruction Project)
Reconstruction of Nahr El Bared Camp project which consists of 8 packages where the total buildings to be constructed are about 1700 building with all infrastructure works ( Sewer, water supply, rain water, Electrical Networks), Nahr al-Bared camp was destroyed as a result of the war in 2007 and construction works started in 2010.
Responsibilities:
1- Organizes and supervises the implementation of all works by contractors and consultants on site, ensuring that all contracts signed with UNRWA by external parties are adhered to in terms of quantity and quality control, and strictly ensures these are completed within the approved timelines and budgets;
2- Manages the staff in the Construction Unit; makes recommendations in relation to staffing requirements, reviews and proposes adjustments to the budget as related to the implementation of the reconstruction activities;
3- Acts as a member of the NBC senior management team and contributes to the management of all aspects of NBC reconstruction operations, including project planning, improving quality, reducing cost and accelerating the reconstruction activities;
4- Under the guidance of the NBC Reconstruction Project Manager and in collaboration with other relevant project staff, undertakes regular monitoring and evaluation of all reconstruction activities; establishes and reviews progress on the implementation of key performance indicators in relation to quality and operational standards;
5- Manages all technical activities in the Construction Unit and develops appropriate systems and processes; provides technical guidance and/or training and support to staff as may be needed to ensure the proper implementation of these processes;
6- Establishes and/or reviews quantitative and qualitative criteria and guidelines for the implementation of the reconstruction of residential and non-residential lots/blocks on the basis of international codes of practice and standards;
7- Reviews and certifies the interim and final payments to contractors in contractual arrangements with UNRWA, including variation/change orders;
8- Prepares reports on construction related activities, and contributes to the overall project reporting system; ensures that adequate methods are established and maintained for document handling and storage that improve workflow processes;
9- In coordination with the NBC Reconstruction Project Manager, develops and maintains contacts with local authorities, UN Agencies, NGOs and community representatives, as needed;
-Following up site works ( Excavation works and structural back filling works )
-Following up all concrete structure works (Retaining walls, Blinding works, Raft concrete structure works, column and walls concrete structure works, Ribbed and solid slabs concrete structure works, etc.)
-Following up Metal and wooden works (Steel doors, steel windows, steel protections, wooden doors, wooden frames, etc..)
-Following up Finishes works (Plastering works, Painting works, tiling works, aluminum works, etc..)
-Following up thermal and moisture protection works (membrane roofing and waterproofing and fluid applied water proofing works)
-Following up all external works includes infrastructure works, main and sub roads.
-Coordination with Mechanical and Electrical engineer for installation of mechanical and electrical services.
-Checking up Shop drawings submitted by the contractor for approval ( Structure and Architectural drawings)
-Following up all arranged modifications requested by the design unit (architectural and structural) and prepare assessments for all modifications.

-Prepare daily, weekly and monthly report for all construction works on site.
-Check up progress of work on site referring to schedule of works to avoid delays.
-Following up all delivered materials on site to insure using approved materials as per specifications.

• Process buildings of plant: Pretreatment, Settlers, Biological, Clarifiers, Digesters, Dewatering, Splitter, Co-generators, Dewatering, UV Irrigation, Blower & Odor buildings.
• Contact Type: Lump Sum; Contractual Value (Euro. 30, 000, 000).
• Pipe lines “GRP, HDPE & Stainless Pipes”.
Position: Site Engineer.

• Responsibilities:
o Excavation and soil shoring works:
- Following & Supervising Excavation, soil shoring, piling works, shotcrete works.
- Water proofing below ground level.
o Reinforced Concrete Works.
o Road Works:
- Responsible for following internal road works including road alignment.
- laying and compacting for sub-base layers based on design drawings
- Coordinating with surveyor for leveling and surveying works.
- Primer coating, tack coating, asphalt laying and compacting.
- Drainage electrical cabling works.
- Pavement works.
o Piping Works:
- Installation and fixing of GRP Pipes (Up to 1500 DN), HDPE Pipes
- Water Tightness test for gravity pipes and pressure pipes.
o Drawings:
- Review of execution drawings and highlighting discrepancies, missing details and raise it to the project engineer.
o Tender Documents:
- Technical specifications.
- Application of Method of statements
- Review BOQ Requirements.
o Technical Submittals:
- Reviewing the application methodology and data sheet for technical submittals (Materials and Documents Submittals).
o Coordination and Site Office Works:
- Reporting technical site problems
- Coordinating with project engineer for variations and modifications.
- Preparing daily and monthly reports.
Supervision and Control on execution of Al Tanmeya Building in Verdun
Training in a 3 Blocks building as a Site engineer Trainer
