Checking insurance approval requests receive from the doctors is duly filled with ICD
(International Classification of disease) codes, CPT (Current Procedure Terminology) code, stamp
and signature & coded by medical coder
• Prepare cost estimates for various out-patient and in-patient cases.
• Followed by request is send by email, fax or online portal (Greenrain, Daman Open Jet, Oman
insurance Open Jet, NAS-Jet, GLOBEMED, Mednet Connect, NEXTCARE-pulse, ALKHAZNA, and
AXA& MetLife.) depending on the insurance company.
• Following up with insurance companies & Taking verbal approvals in emergency cases.
• Review and distribute the pre-approvals to concerned departments in a timely manner Identify
unusual denials and medical report requests and contact the Insurance Companies
• Updating the information or status of approval by logging in excel sheet to avoid any pending.
• Coordinating with doctors and their assistant nurse for any queries and issues related to patients
and their approval status.
• Coordinated, liaised and networked between insurance companies.
• Managed filing and tracking insurance claims and informed patients of their claims status.
• Processed insurance and disability claims in a timely manner.
• Circulated documentation as needed for reviewing.
• Distribute insurance related updates to all relevant areas of the Hospital
