Buying Assistant:
• Provides executive support to the Buying Department in managing and coordinating the buying activities for every season with all the suppliers in India and Lebanon.
• Coordinates the completion of sample collections for the Buyer.
• Provides full administrative assistance to the Buying Department which consists of Buyers and Merchandiser.
• Processing of contracts - raising and checking orders in preparation for signature by buyer and controller.
• Responsible for all approvals related to Garment styling, LABDIPS, Fit approvals, Print quality and final PP sample approval.
• Following up on orders placed and samples requested by buyers.
• Monitoring and tracking shipments from contract date to store delivery.
• Maintenance and generation of company reports and systems.
• Monitoring sales reactions and weekly sales figures
• Highly administrative role with fashion buying team, providing essential support to assistant buyer, buyer and senior buyer
• Placing purchase order, creating and maintaining critical path, attending fit session, competitive shops and maintenance of sample library, racking up samples.
• Ensure excellent communication and interaction with other departments.
• Maintain communication with supplier base, identifying any issues and talking appropriate action.
• Assist and follow up in negotiating discounts with supplier.
• Ensure all samples are chased, managed labeled and in correct location.
• Critical path management from sample placement to delivery.
Fashion Apparel merchandising with a unique combination of skills and capabilities acquired during studies and work experience. Also possess a solid Apparel Manufacturing background with a deep understanding of leading manufacturing process, equipments and practices.
