working to help mainstream gender and inclusion in the GOI’s and KRG services delivery system and improve marginalized population capability in participating in planning and monitoring government activities to the citizen.
This role covering Iraq by the assistance of 3 regional coordinators.
The key achievements of this role were:
1- Development of new work and coordination mechanism between Women empowerment directorate and Provincial women empowerment departments.
2- Advocate for the reason to have women empowerment forms to elevated into functional department within the governors’ office.
3- Development of coordination mechanism for women empowerment departments and other provincial departments to integrate the works.
4- Development of women empowerment departments roles and responsibilities.
5- Developing an Emergency Response Plan to the vulnerable groups in Basrah with (Basrah Water Management Committee) approved by Basrah Governore.
And other work responsibilities:
• Improve the working of Provincial women empowerment formation by equipped these formations with the necessary assets and networking to achieve their ultimate objectives.
• Establishment of roles and work relations among Provincial Women Empowerment Departments and Women Empowerment Directorate in CoMSec, Provincial and local entities.
• Liaise with the concerned entities to enforced the “ anti-domestic violence law”.
• Closely working with E&I team in deciding best approach of implementation of the activities.
• Managing activities and expenses in accordance with the donor and budget conditions, through Tools of project implementation like TAMIS, and TAMIS pro, and ensuring all the activities are uploaded and comply to the system technical and logistical requirements.
• Organize and coordinate activities of inclusion team and communication to ensure harmonizing the efforts and feedback.
• Develop training materials when needed according to the project or other components requirements.
• Participate in Planning, Drafting RFPs and develop SoWs for the coming activities including identifying the tasks, their timelines, deliverables and estimated budget.
• Building in monitoring system for implementing activities according to the specified timeline.
• Report on the implementation progress and update the plan due any deviation in the approach may accrue during the implementation.
• Participate in bid committees and kick off meeting and monitoring the vendor’s work, provide them with technical guidance and tools when needed.
• Build and maintain strong relationship with stakeholders and partners.
• Track gender, vulnerable and Youth participation in all IGPA activities.
Support the Peace, Security and Gender Project Officer with developing the materials necessary for jointly events with UN-Women
Develop and send invitations, track attendance confirmations and monitor attendance during the event. Support to HLP Consultant to develop and deliver training to police and community regarding addressing HLP in return areas.
Work with MMU (Migration Management Unit) administrative team and IOM support units to oversee the logistical arrangements for the event
Gather and translate information collected at the event and share with the PSG officer as needed
Provide inputs into written reports and documents on the event.
