• Responsible for ensuring that all raw materials, manufactured / trading good items and manufacturing processes conform to the company specifications, customer specifications and related quality standards.
• Ensure that the process quality control activities are in compliance with Company/Client specific requirements so as to comply with the required control and performance standards.
• Ensure the effective achievement of QC departmental objectives through the leadership of the QC section - setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal - in order to maximize subordinate and the performance of the section.
• Responsible for ensuring all Quality Control Manuals are maintained up to date, issued and implemented
• Ensure that only approved Raw Materials are used so as to ensure acceptable end products quality
• Ensure that all facility and project related qualification tests are conducted and reported in line with the local and international standards
• Ensure that nonconforming manufactured items are properly highlighted and immediate corrective and preventive action is initiated
• Responsible for maintaining NCR logs and initiating the continual improvement after analyzing the data
• Responsible for ensuring that all testing & measuring equipment are calibrated in line with the standards and records are maintained.
• Ensure the resource requirements of the department are met in order for the smooth performance of the department.
• Monitor the financial performance of the section against budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
• Responsible for recruiting new employees to the QC department as per the manpower requirements budget in consultation with HR department.
• Ensure that all employees are trained and motivated to perform their roles to the levels of excellence set so as to realize quality products.
• Preparing competency maps of the employees, identify the training needs and providing the necessary training.
• Implementing and maintaining QMS and EMS in coordination with the management and all other departments in order to ensure continual improvements.
• Conduct internal audits as required by the ISO 9001, ISO 14000, API Q1 standards. Raise NCR’s in case of non-compliance and ensure their close outs. Prepare internal audit reports
• Assist QA manager in external audits and maintaining the accreditation and product certification.
• Post changes to National / International Standards and brief relevant personnel to ensure compliance with the latest updates /requirements
• Control Know How documents. Ensure its proper usage and implementation
• Responsible for the preparation of project specific ITP / QAP and implementing it in order to ensure the right quality material is supplied to each project
• Conducting pre inspection meeting with the client and resolving the quality related matters
• Communicate to the third party inspection agencies and manage the third party inspection visits.
• Conducting site visit if required to assist the client for installing the products using right method

• Organize and supervise the activities and work of a team of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of QC activity is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner

• Communicate the requirement of operational procedures and instruction to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
• Ensure the pipes and fittings manufactured by PACIFIC pipes meets the specified level of quality
• Inspection and testing of finished and semi finished products like Pipe, Couplings, Flanges, Nozzles, manhole, end cap, tees, reducer, Elbow or any other fittings.
• Inspection & testing incoming raw materials and various bought out items
• Inspection of all products at all stages of operation
• Inspection of process set up & materials setting on winding machine.
• Dimension & visual inspection of every pipes/ coupling pipes from winding
• Mechanical and hydro testing of pipes and laminates
• Maintaining Calibration of Instruments and monitoring
• Issuing NCPR for nonconforming products
• Finding out root cause for the NC and follow up for the closing of the same.
• Rejection, Rework, NCPR analysis of the Incoming materials, in process product and finished products
• Maintaining, monitoring and controlling documents and records of raw materials, in process products, finished products and third party inspections.
• Coordinate third party inspections in order to ensure on time deliveries and prepare required documentation.
• Maintain the product certification by BIS by conducting required test and by preparing required documentation
• Conduct internal audits as required by the ISO 9001, ISO 14000 standards
• Conducting long term test like Hydrostatic design basis, Strain corrosion, Burst test etc.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Organize and supervise the activities and work of a team of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of QC activity is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner
• Ensure that all QC inspectors are trained and motivated to perform their roles to the levels of excellence set so as to realize quality products.
• Communicate the requirement of operational procedures and instruction to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
• Undertake checks on production of pipes, fittings and spools to ensure the procedures are being followed in order to ensure that quality standards being achieved.
• Organize and undertake product qualification tests as instructed by the QC engineer
• Assist QC engineer to conduct product qualification tests.
• Coordinate third party inspections in order to ensure on time deliveries and prepare required documentation
• Ensure all the quality documentation is correctly maintained in accordance with ISO and other standards in order to ensure compliance to requirements.
• As required deputize for the QC engineer in order to ensure work progress.
• Ensure that all relevant safety, quality and environmental procedures, instruction and controls are adhering to so that the safety of employees, quality of products and environmental compliance can be guaranteed.
• Supervise the raw material testing in order to ensure correct raw material is used for the production of pipe and fittings
• Supervise calibration of measuring equipments.
• Conduct internal audits as required by the ISO 9001, ISO 14000, API Q1 standards
• Preparation of Inspection Test Plan, Inspection Test Procedures for various projects
