• Analyze financial data by collecting, monitoring and creating financial models for decision support
• Improve financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
• Inventory analysis of a comprehensive portfolio of products with focus on the aging and slow
moving products.
• Ratio analysis e.g. Inventory days and accounts receivable days
• Gross margin analysis of different business segments and comparisons with budget
• Preparing projections and forecasts based on monthly sales mix and variance analysis with budgeted mix
• Analysis of accounts receivables and monitoring the effectiveness of the treasury department.
- Preparation of financial statements comprising balance sheet, statement of comprehensive income, cash flow statement, statement of changes in equity and notes to the accounts.
- Assessing the internal control systems, identifying the weaknesses therein and recommending solutions to the management.
- Reviewing, preparing and finalizing the various types of reports and other deliverables.
- Overseeing the performance of the accounts payable and receivable department.
- Ensuring that the financial statements (Balance sheet. profit and loss, cashflow statements, statement of changes in equity and notes to the accounts) are prepared in accordance with the applicable International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and statutory compliance with the Companies Ordinance 1984, Code of Corporate Governance and Listing Regulations.
- Preparation of overall audit plan determining the expected scope and conduct of the audit.
- Reviewing, preparing and finalizing the various types of reports and other deliverables.
- Overall assignment management and adherence of reporting deadlines.
- Analysis of periodic reports prepared by client and reporting thereon.
- Co-ordination with professionals of various fields like legal, actuarial and IT experts and decision-making for resolution of critical reportable matters.
- Delegation of job responsibilities, supervision and review of the work of audit staff and client interaction.
- Evaluating internal control systems, identifying control weaknesses and making appropriate recommendations to the management in the form of management letters.
- Ensuring compliance with the applicable statute, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Audit and Assurance Standards (ISA’s).
- Ensuring statutory compliance with the Companies Ordinance 1984, Code of Corporate Governance and Listing Regulations.
