In my current position I lead a teamof 5 asset managers responsible for:
• pricing leases by performing investment appraisal techniques (NPV, IRR, ROCE, MIRR etc).
• developing innovative finance products to enhance profitability and customer retention.
• assisting clients to manage their asset portfolios to reduce losses.
• preparing cost saving proposals for clients in distress which also safeguards our investments.
• Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their financial goals and asset acquisition needs.
• Analyze clients financial statements, credit histories, and other relevant information to assess creditworthiness.
• Evaluate various asset finance options, considering factors such as interest rates, terms, and repayment structures.
• Perform financial modeling to determine the most cost-effective and suitable financing solutions.
• Structure and present financing options to clients, considering their financial capacity and risk tolerance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to design innovative and tailored financing packages.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance throughout the financing process.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies in all financing transactions.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
• Oversee the preparation of all necessary documentation for financing transactions.
• Coordinate with legal and administrative teams to ensure smooth processing and completion of deals.
• Assess and mitigate potential risks associated with asset finance transactions.
• Monitor the performance of financed assets and implement risk management strategies as needed.
• Managed day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
• Prepared and reviewed financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
• Conducted regular internal audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Performed all tax administration duties to ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns.
• Managed accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, facilitating timely payments and collections.
• Assisted in the budgeting process, providing financial insights to support decision-making.
• Collaborated with cross-functional teams to address financial inquiries and support departmental financial needs.
Tongaat Hulett Zimbabwe is a producer of sugar in Zimbabwe with 4 stand alone divisions. I was responsible for the following tasks:
• Inter company journals and revenue allocation
• Invoicing
• Running and dispatching of monthly statements
• Monthly reconciliations
• Daily banking
