HR STRATEGY
• Develop new organization structure (including reporting structure, for the restructured HHB Group going forward taking into consideration the revised Group structure and business strategies.
• Develop and insure execution of new compensation and benefits policies, including new Performance Management System, insurance policies, etc.
• Assess existing staff (numbers and job fit) against new structure, and recommend appropriate strategies, including Training Needs Analyses, etc.
HR ADMINISTRATION
• Overall management of the Human Resource (HR) functions in the Group.
• Review and revise HR and Administrative policies and procedures.
• Liaise and manages Group operating subsidiaries in developing and executing their respective HR strategies in accordance with approved Strategic Plans.
• Manage the annual PMS, promotion, bonus and salary adjustment exercise.
• Supervise the SBU’s HR Personnel on the day to day HR management activities, including recruitment and industrial relations matters.
• Oversee general welfare and health and safety matters of all staff in the Group.
• Handle recruitment of senior staff at corporate HQ as well as at operating subsidiaries.
• Manages the training needs of the Group, Manages all payroll activities of the Group, including liaison with relevant Government authorities.
• Provide guidance to Group and Directors on all Government policies affecting HR and administration.
•Administer, coordinate and interpret Berjaya Hotels & Resorts’ Human Resources policies, practice and procedures and responsible for recommending timely change in the policies and procedures
•Responsible for planning, directing and executing the activities of Human Resources Department of the Hotel
•Ensure all policies and procedures pertaining to Human Resources are followed strictly

•Spearheaded the due diligence team and develop HR transition plans, functions and responsibilities during Mergers and Acquisitions

As OD Executive Advisor and staff strength of 50, my responsibilities includes directing and spearheading comprehensive HR functions, strategic planning and organizational development activities in line with the Group’s business and operational objectives focusing on continuous Human Performance Improvement processes.
My achievements:
• Responsible for implementing full spectrum of HR management and administration functions including managing initiatives in the areas of HR policies and procedures;
• Organization development; balance score card implementation, conducted performance and productivity improvements analyses, resulting in a review and development of a newly accepted effective performance management system;

As General Manager HR & Administration of 600 employees my achievements were:
• Leading and spearheading the total HR functions and responsibilities after the acquisition of Dataprep Holdings Bhd by VXL Management Sdn Bhd.
• Plan, design and operated successfully a “web-based” integrated human resource information system hosting all Human Resource Policies, Personnel Data, Performance Management and Administrative System utilizing intranet technology devoted to enhancing effectiveness, immediate updating and improving corporate communication among employees aimed at creating feedback systems to improve overall employee motivation and commitment hence, corporate vision and objectives.
• Restructure/reorganize HR services to be more responsive and proactive towards the Group's business needs and the needs of its Human Capital (assets) and rightfully given the task of developing successfully "Employee Share Option Scheme (ESOS)".

My responsibilities as Group HR Senior Manager covered a combined employee strength of 7, 000 within Malaysia and direct supporting staff of 30 people.
My accomplishments:
• Achieved: 1. Prime Minister Quality Award (PMQA) 2001 & 2. Quality Management Excellence Award (QMEA) 2001 modeled after the American Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for Samsung SDI (M)
• Led several new initiatives and implementations ‘To Be The Most Desirable Employer’ and the Company’s Human Capital Scorecard Analyses
• Created and introduced appropriate interventions and establishing “The Learning Organization”; “New Samsung Recruitment Process”; “Develop and Implement New Performance Management System”.

• Led and supervised twenty staff in the administration of human resources policies/procedures for five thousand employees, manpower planning, compensation & benefits, recruitment & placement, job analyses, training & education, coaching & counseling and organizational development;
• Designed and implemented of multi-tiered mentoring (buddy) programs for over 500 associates;
• Conducted training and management development to teams providing cross functional activities and resolve labour and industrial relations issues at the Manpower & Labour Department.
• Conducted compensation and benefits surveys and performed analyses comparing competitors and build retention programs.
Read-Rite was a Disk Drive Assembly company with a workforce of 2, 500 people and a HRD Section of 3 staff including myself. During the short period my accomplishments were:
• Develop, design programs, conduct train-the-trainer, perform training needs assessment, conduct domestic inquiries, conduct TQM training and coordinate ISO 9002 registration & auditing;
• Supported in many industrial relations cases among them primary defense witness in a wrongful termination lawsuit filed by former employee - thorough documentation and ability to demonstrate full legal compliance and adherence to company policies resulted in favorable corporate verdict.
Sarawak Timber Development Corporation (STIDC), a state-owned company dealing in timber downstream processing industry and plywood manufacturing is the major business activity. My achievements were:
• Developed and managed plywood manufacturing and production for export from startup operations;
• Developed trained and skilled manpower supporting manufacturing operations, major contributions were successfully developed 30 skills competency training models for the plywood companies/organizations including (STIDC);
• Supervised 1000 employees (unionized) production & technical teams on quality control in production.
• Performed job analyses; beginning from log cutting, peeling veneer, drying, gluing, pressing/compressing, sizing, grading, packing, machine maintenance, boiler operations, store keeping, logistics, etc.;
• Provided management support and initiatives on new business activities and consulting. Ensured that employment offer letters, payroll status changes and other benefits forms were processed and signed in an accurate and timely manner;
• Conducted employee orientation, recruitment fairs and on-the-job training. Develop a reputation for meticulous attention to details and creative event organizer.
The Ministry of Education had 40 Polytechnics, Technical & Vocational Institutions of higher education in the Malaysian educational system. My accomplishments were mainly in:
• Developing and managing technical education programs within Polytechnics’ majoring electrical and electronics programs;
• Led and supervised the service and maintenance department;
• Written/authored three (3) textbooks: I. Engineering Technology (Form 4), II. Teknologi Elektronik (Tingkatan 4), III. Teknologi Elektronik (Tingkatan 5).
• Developed jointly with private sector partner companies in developing new and upgrading electrical & electronics programs thus ensuring graduates constantly meeting the skills requirements of labour industry.

• Leading and supervising the service and maintenance team members;
• Trained machine operators, technicians and engineers in performing their "total preventive maintenance" responsibilities and activities;
• Maintained, serviced and repaired all machineries, equipment and instrument within Polytechnics, Technical & Vocational Institutions throughout Malaysia
