• Provide day-to-day leadership and direction for in-house staff for the safe and reliable operations of datacentre and infrastructure systems
• Provide hands-on project management for strategic department-wide initiatives, inclusive of technology selection, effort, timeline, cost, resource allocation, system engineering, RFP/SOW creation, vendor selection/management, solution delivery, and implementation
• Ability to decompose large initiatives into constituent projects and executable technology delivery goals
• Oversee 2nd and 3rd level Infrastructure operations support for the department on a 24x7 basis, with on-call support during off-hours for initial response to disruptions, outages and incidents
• Implement ITSM procedures with a focus on Incident Management, RCA/Problem Management, Change Management, Event Management, SLAs, production support, standards, and best practices for the technology organization
• Assist with the implementation and evangelization of cyber security best practices and lead cyber incident response/management if necessary
• Assist with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measures
• Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for infrastructure administration and project management
• Participate in the development of IT strategies in collaboration with peer and senior management
• Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all in-scope infrastructure systems
• Own the project lifecycle and be responsible for managing technical and operational risks and issues for smaller projects that are not led by the Project Management Organization (PMO)
• Work with peer Infrastructure and other IT Department Managers to provide input into the departmental vision and strategic road map for Data Center technical platforms
• Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the senior management, decision-makers, stakeholders, department managers, and end users regarding pertinent infrastructure activities
• Provide organizational and cultural change leadership and change management
• Build a culture of pro-activity, business cooperation, continuous improvement, and exceptional service delivery
• Build data protection backup strategy
• Design and implement tools and solution for business continuity & disaster management.
• Managed stc data centers facilities including Colocation and Cloud Data Centers in Saudi Arabia.
• Reviewed and approved the design of new advanced Modular (Prefabricated & Containers) Data Centers in Saudi Arabia, Uptime
Institute Tier III.
• Ensure that the installation & maintenance of all data centers facilities are executed in compliance with SAS, NFPA, TIA-942,
ASHRAE, UL, ANSI, BICSI, SBC, OSHA, LEED, Uptime TCOS, .etc.
• Direct the development and review of operational standards, sequences of operation (SOO), and methods of procedures (MOP)
for consistency and maximum system reliability.
• Managed the department and hire the subordinates as necessary.
• Coordinate with procurements regarding developing RFP, Wholesale OLA, SLA, Contract & Tendering.
• Develop and implement Quality Strategy as related to stc quality standards and Site Quality Management System.
• Developed schedules, weekly reports, monthly capacity management reports and method of procedures for preventive
maintenance and repairs.
• Responsible for generating incident reports on DC infrastructure and share with upper management and sales.
• Developed strategies for cost effective operations, focused on total cost of ownership.
• Administered and ensured all operational KPIs and metrics are being measured and met.
• Collaborated the various third-party vendors and adhering to all contract’s guidelines & ensure vendor adheres to quality.
• Designed strategies and plans for deployments across multiple sites.
• Established critical thinking and innovative approach in traditional data center and emergent challenges.
