• Compilation of Accounts from inception to the date and update the Trial Balance accordingly.
• Update the old Chart of Accounts according to require/modified business model, by making sure that the proper business segmentation can be reflect via Financial Statements.
• Prepare monthly P&L and salaries and effectively communicate to stakeholders to streamline cashflows.
• Involved in month end-closings.
• Oversee the Payables & Receivables along with their payments and receipts follow-ups.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies specifically revenue from various branches, by collecting and analysing account information.
• Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records & prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and principles.
• Preparation and filing of various tax returns, including income tax, sales tax and other relevant taxes.
• File the Statutory annual returns with Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budgetary performance and provide variance analysis.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets/inventory.
• Communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
My responsibilities were include the following;
•Compute and furnish monthly Sales tax/VAT returns and withholding statements in accordance with the provisions of the Law.
•Assist clients in tax strategic planning and computation of expected tax exposure keeping in view of the current tax position of the client and amendments in law.
•Reviewed client’s tax filing papers thoroughly to determine eligibility for additional tax credits or deductions.
•Prepared tax returns, extensions, tax planning calculations, and write-ups for organizations and entities.
•Maintained compliance by adhering to current tax laws and regulations.
•Worked in Direct/Indirect Taxes, Tax Advisory &as Compliance Officer on behalf of clients.
•Make sure to comply with Companies Act, 2017 & Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) Regulations.
•Register Companies, Association of Persons, Single Member Companies & Individual businesses with SECP and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
•Followed up to assess and report corrective action completion or progress.
•Met with clients to identify and assess business controls, risks and workflow inefficiencies.
•Compiled financial statements for clients to ensure entities were in compliance with IFRS and Local Accounting Standards.
•Prepared working papers, reports and supporting documentation for audit findings.
•Plan and Perform statutory audits under the regulations of IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, IFRS for SSEs and other regulatory requirements.
•Reviewed and verify sale and purchase procedures, revenue recognition, budgets, grant income, audit checklists, payroll activities, production cycle, fixed assets, investments, stores/stock in trade valuation and finances to ensure compliance in each area.
•Identified control gaps in processes, procedures and systems through in-depth research and assessment and suggested methods for improvement.
•Ensure the compliance with Code of Ethics for Chartered Accountants, with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) and the International Standards on Auditing (ISAs), including industry best practices.
