• Prepare, Initiate and Review Risk Assessment for the specific duration of project. • Review, Approved and Comments on Safety Plan of the projects prepared by the contractor. • Conduct on site inspection and check the safety of work, materials and equipment of the contractor. • Check if materials are safely handled, stored and used in the project. • Ensure that the contractors regularly conduct safety training workshops and attend the same. • Ensure preparedness of all workers of emergency procedures, conduct mock drills. • Ensure that all cranes, earthmoving equipment etc. have third party fitness certificate. • Maintain records of the safety inspection.  Advised and guide Project Manager, Engineers and Foreman to enforce project safety and health environment and program as required by company regulation.  To liaise with municipal and State Emergency planners, update plans, organize exercises and evaluate procedures;  Investigate accident personally and report all safety aspect to the safety manager.  Provide first aid training and perform safety seminars to all employees.  To conduct induction or orientation from day to day activities to ensure that proper tool box and instruction have been made.  To assist executive staff, senior administrators, principals and supervisors in emergency preparedness;  To coordinate the Board’s emergency procedures and act as the Board’s emergency on-site Coordinator;  Review accident reports and maintain adequate system of investigation, reporting and keeping all necessary documents and records regarding the accidents, incident and near missed occurrence as required by the environmental safety and health.  Ensure that working methods and safety procedures are carried out in a competent person and all relevant statutory requirements are adhered to by the provision of adequate plant, equipment, material services and operations are supervised in a safe working manner.  To develop, implement and monitor Board Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Programs, and Procedures;  To assist the Board in complying with current health and safety legislation and/or regulations with the objective of ensuring that all reasonable and proper measures are taken to protect the safety and health of learners, staff and visitors.  To arrange for Occupational Health and Safety testing and/or evaluations of the workplace by external agencies/consultants as may be necessary;  To coordinate the training of personnel in areas of safety, including first aid, CPR, accident.  To investigate and report on all serious/critical personal injury accidents occurring to students, staff and/or visitors to the appropriate senior official, and to assist in the investigation of all Accidents/incidents that result in substantial damage to Board vehicles and property;  To increase health and safety awareness at all levels within the organization; • Ensure that the workers wear appropriate PPE depending on the nature of work being done. • Record all near misses and take appropriate measures to avoid accidents. • Review, updates and comments on monthly safety reports of the projects prepared by the contractor. • Inspect and ensure that the staging is safe prior to use by workers. • Ensure that all cranes, earthmoving equipment etc. have third party fitness certificate. • Ensure that all the operators on site are trained in their field and have relevant licenses. •
