March 2018 - Present

Supporting AstraZeneca’s Sydney manufacturing site, I report directly to the engineering manager, leading and developing a team of 6 process engineers and working closely with maintenance and electrical teams.

- Subject matter expert for the Fill & Pack and Critical Services area. This includes:

o Ensuring OH&S standards are maintained by all team members and site contractors working with me directly and indirectly. Preparing work permits and risk assessments before critical work is completed.

o Identifying and leading initiatives to reduce downtime and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). In 2021, my team completed projects to increase overall OEE by 10%.

o Providing on-time support to ensure all site critical services (HVAC, purified water, steam, compressed
air, granulate and vacuum systems) are available for production without any interruption.

o Planning and coordinating maintenance activities with cross functional teams to complete projects and hand-back the lines and critical utilities to production in a timely and safe manner.

- Achievements as a people leader include:

o Between 2019-2022, the team underwent a series of major changes, including COVID-19 related site closures. As a team lead, I was at the forefront of this change and ensured my team was engaged, motivated and that I was always available to coach and guide them. Some of the team achievements for
this time period include 0 overdue quality records, investigation timeframes < 15 days with no repeat
occurrences, 100% health and safety compliance and 100% project timeline adherence.

o I lead a cross-functional weekly (OEE) meeting with area managers, where I present the line performance with top issues explained and actions being taken by the team to address those issues. One of the outcomes was a 50% changeover time reduction.

- Achievements as an individual contributor:

o I completed an automation project for 14 production lines. Over a 8 month timeline, I led the design and deployment of multiple modifications. I was able to use the learnings from each line to optimise execution timelines from 5 to 4 working days, therefore returning machine availability for production (~300, 000 units per year).

o Between 2020-21, I led the investigation for a critical product quality issue from the market. I regularly presented progress updates and findings to an international Incident Management Team (IMT) and site based stakeholders, ensuring effective communication is maintained. The final report with a clear root cause identified and corrective actions minimised product impact and was used as a benchmark for future critical product quality investigations on site.
