I am working as Project Technical Engineering Manager for Mix Used Waterfront Development (Gewan Island). My responsibilities can be categorized as under;
DESIGN MANAGEMENT:
To Lead and manage the design team, including architects, engineers, and consultants. To ensure that design concepts align with the project's vision and goals while adhering to relevant regulations, building codes, and environmental considerations
PROJECT PLANNING:
To Collaborate with all stakeholders to define project goals, scope, budget, and timeline. Develop a comprehensive project plan that outlines key milestones, deliverables, and resource allocation
VALUE ENGINEERING & BUDGET CONTROL:
To Monitor design project budgets and expenses and to look for cost-effective solutions without compromising design quality
TECHNICAL ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT:
To Manage and supervise engineering teams, such as architects, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, etc. Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members and to inspire and motivate team members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and empowers individuals to bring their best to the table. To Oversee the construction process to ensure that work is executed according to design specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. To regularly inspect the site to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise
TECHNICAL OVERSIGHT:
To Ensure that engineering designs and solutions meet the project requirements, safety standards, and applicable regulations. And to review and secure approval on all the engineering submissions like Material Submittals, Shop Drawings, Calculations, Method of Statements & Reports accordingly
CLIENT LIAISING:
Acting as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing their design & engineering related queries, concerns, and feedback. To develop and maintain strong client relationships to secure repeat business and to understand their engineering needs, address concerns, and provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle
RISK ASSESSMENT & MITIGATION:
To Identify design and engineering related risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential issues that may arise during the project and to ensure project success and client satisfaction
ENGINEERING COORDINATION:
To collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, marketing, and manufacturing, to integrate design requirements into the overall project and to work closely with design, construction, and other teams to integrate engineering requirements and ensure seamless project execution
QUALITY CONTROL:
To Implement quality control processes to maintain high design and engineering standards and deliver error-free design outputs while ensuring the safety and reliability of engineered systems
• Managed Design and Technical/Engineering aspects for sensitive projects like Shield 5 and Embassy Suites by HILTON (4 Star Hotels).
• Achievements:
- Successfully managed Engineering for all nine sites in the Shield Project with Qatar Air Force.
- Obtained approval on Integrated Building Designs and Radar Interfaces for Radar Towers with LEONARDO, a leading Radar Manufacturer from Italy.
- Secured approval on the redesign of Customized Access Hatches for Radar Towers with SURESPAN, a prominent Access Hatch Manufacturer.
- Led the Engineering Management of a 4-Star Hotel by HILTON within eight months, including approval on the Mockup Room Finishes in coordination with ERGA
• Worked on prestigious projects, including VVVIP Palaces, Retails at Hamad International Airport, Restaurants, Spa, Townhouse, and 5-Star Hotel.
• Achievements:
- Successfully delivered the Design and Built of Grand Majlis with Personal Office at Ras Muleigi Beach Palace for the EMIR of Qatar in six months.
- Completed the Design and Built of Spa and Gym Building at Dafna Palace for the EMIR of Qatar in eight months.
- Obtained approval on the Redesign, Engineering Management, and Handing Over of De Lord's French Restaurant @ Mall of Qatar in eight months.
- Led the Redesign, Engineering Management, and Handing Over of nine Retail Shops for QDF at Operational Hamad International Airport in 1.5 years.
- Involved in the Redesign and Engineering Management of a 5-Star Hotel "DUSIT."
• Managed Fit-Out Projects for Retails with Al Shaya.
• Achievements:
- Secured approval on the Redesign, Engineering Management & Fit-Out Handing Over of various retail stores, including Miss Selfridge, Boots Pharmacy, H & M, Mothercare, Foot Locker & Jo Malone at Gulf Mall and Villagio Mall.
- Successfully delivered the Design and Built of Main Kitchen @ Qatar Naval Forces.
Served as an Architectural Consultant for QP Projects. Achievements:
•Secured approval on the Design and Services Integration for 3 Blast-Proof Buildings for QP @ Dukhan.
Worked as Chief Architectural Engineer with Trivalley @ Pearl Qatar.
•Achievements: Redesigned 4 Highrise Towers @ Porto Arabia with The Land Investment. Successfully managed Engineering for 4 Highrise Towers @ Porto Arabia.
Served as Assistant Project Manager & QC Manager with Precious Qatar.
•Achievements: Secured approval on Engineering Management and Execution of Services Buildings @ North Sewage Treatment Plant in coordination with CFE Middle East and Keppel's Sighers.
• Worked as Head of Technical Engineering with Comex Trading for 2 Girls Schools for Ashghal @ Umm Salal Ali.
Worked as an Architectural Engineer & Supervisor for Al Kaabi Residential Compound @ Al Kheesa and Main Church @ Abu Hamur with Prisma International.
• Served as an Architectural Engineering Intern at Qafco and obtained approval on the Redesign and Refurbishment of Qafco Admin’s Building and Al Banush Club.
