• Working closely on advanced risk analysis, ratio analysis, variance analysis, sensitivity analysis, feasibility analysis, scenario analysis, Cost Volume Profit (CVP) Analysis, Sales Analysis, Profitability Analysis etc.
• Work closely with the Supply Chain Executives and provide financial and commercial support.
• Ensure accuracy, usefulness and understanding of all KPI’s which included working closely with factory management to help them understand and have positive impact on their performance.
• Ensure that financial controls are in place across the refinery, which are in accordance to Group policy and actively adhered to.
• Working closely on Sales Analysis in order to make recommendations for changes in Sales techniques and providing reports to Management in light of sales goals and identifies areas of weakness, the organization can address to improve sales.
• Product costing - prepare and subsequently validate product costing for new products, product changes
• Promotional evaluation - pre and post promotional evaluation with the sales team.
• PIP (Profit Improvement Plans) - measure actual performance to target and work with management team to prepare an action plan to address any under performance.
• Capital expenditure - control of CAPEX applications, validation of costs and benefits, manage subsequent spend, post implementation review.
• Planning - work closely with the planning function to ensure that systems are comparable, stock levels, usage and yields.
• Ensure there are sufficient controls and procedures in place to warrant that stocks and usages are accurate, security of assets is adequate together with variance reporting to standard costs.
• Weekly to monthly accounts review - ensure that reconciliations are completed with any variances investigated and appropriate action taken. Liaised with Regional, Sector and Group Finance Offices on monthly reporting of financials, strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, auditing (external and internal) and various ad-hoc assignments.
• Developed long term plans for the division as per organizational vision and strategy.
• Contribute to the preparation of the Finance section budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget/Forecast so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new projects & send financial recommendations to senior management.
• Acting as a key member for various planning and reporting systems, developed and maintained management reports including process improvement initiatives.
• Involved in Planning & finalizing company’s annual budgets to the CFO.
