Assists in the implementation of the supply component of the Country Programme, including a system for the procurement and distribution of supplies to all project sites.
Interacts with the Programme Sections in the preparation of Annual Work and Supply Plans, Sales Orders and Purchase Requisitions etc. according to procurement specifications and supply procedures.
Responsible for market surveys and Supplier Assessments for existing and new suppliers.
Responsible for both local and offshore procurements as required. When required, maintains contact with customs officials for preliminary supply clearance documentations to facilitate timely customs clearance of supplies and equipment, in keeping with established protocol.
Undertakes field visits to project sites and End User Monitoring of Supplies.
Identifies training needs and develops training activities in supply management for counterparts, designed to improve supply delivery.
Generates all supply related reports, required for donor reports, budget reviews, programme analysis, annual reports, appeals, etc. Shares a monthly update on the status of supplies with all concerned parties.
Assess the procurement and logistics capacity of UNICEF partners.
Managed all aspects of organization supplies & procurement.
Obtained all supporting document for financial & supplies support for the counterpart in absent of the Operation Manager.
Lead all admin & finance and HR task s in absent of the Operation Manager.
Post daily dispatches and receipt of WFP food and non-food commodities in the corporate system, monitor the correct use and quantity as per loading orders;
Respond to queries regarding commodities staff in the unit and elsewhere in the programme.
Monitor ongoing shipments, pipeline information, insurance claims and other data.
Provide day-to-day reports on the progress and movements of WFP shipments (by land, sea or air).
Monitor and report on WFP food stocks in operation’s warehouse and prepare weekly stock reports.
Assist and advise on flight planning, weather forecast and restricted flying areas, or railroad schedules and movements, or ship movements and schedules.
Coordinate and manage deliveries by suppliers, clearing agents and WFP warehouses, monitor and assess quality, quantity and safety of the goods.
Coordinate clearance of WFP, export/import in liaison with handlers and customs officials.
Initiate action for requests for duty exemptions on all WFP imported shipments, food and non-food items.
Establish contracts with shipping agents, clearing agents and superintendents and monitor the discharge of WFP vessels (rail, air or sea), and advising supervisors of need for intervention in case of any unforeseen problems pertaining to discharge and/or clearing operations.
Perform other related duties as assigned
Security access, performance tuning, capacity planning, and database replication/backups for recoverability as needed.
This includes applying and testing critical updates to the servers. Perform data modeling and optimization, preliminary database designs, data analysis, and creation of new databases as needed.
Perform installation and maintenance of third party databases; provide technical support to vendor for solving database/software failures. Perform feasibility studies, cost/benefit analysis, software development, and user training in response to user requests. Perform team leader functions for projects involving multiple developers: manage deadlines, provide status reports; facilitate final testing and project sign-off. Define, analyze, design, develop, test, and implement software applications with accuracy and timeliness.
Development standards are followed. Application support documentation is provided and made available to the support team. User training is provided as necessary.
Ensure base level software applications are maintained as highest priority: assist in testing upgrades to existing applications; and assist the team in solving software failures.
Analyze user department needs and assist in eliminating redundancy and improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Review literature and other resources in order to keep informed of new technology advances that may have a positive/negative effect on our base level support and/or development toolkit.
Work extra hours when needed. Respond to on-call pages as required. Perform related duties as needed or assigned.
Insures the integrity of research project data, possibly including data extraction, processing storage, and analysis, responsible for database design, administration, security and maintenance, accurately codes variables form original data and completes statistical analysis as needs .
Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology.
Refine data and format final product.
Maintain and modify programs; make approved changes by amending flow charts, develop detailed programming logic, and coding changes.
Test and develop programming modifications.
Write new program code using prescribed specifications.
Evaluate simple interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part.
Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor.
Confer with users to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs. Resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls.
Write and maintain programming documentation.
Analyze NT client/server and micro-computer based software solutions compatibility with company requirements.
Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference.
Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource.

Provide systematic instruction to students and staff in the use of computers and related hardware/software.
Provide instruction to both students and staff in the use of computers as instructional tools through individualized subject area’s software, integrated learning systems and word processing.
Provide staff development programs designed to train and stimulate the staff as to the utilization of the computer lab and the application of available software.
Coordinate the integration of technology into the curriculum by working with staff on development of specific classroom lessons which enhance teaching and learning.
Act as a technology consultant to the staff and advise the faculty on the application of computer technology to the instructional programs.
Take any action necessary to assure that the academy computer curriculum is reflective of the skills presented in the Curriculum
Frameworks of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Provide technical support for all educational computer systems, networks, peripherals, etc.
Work with the building principal and the district coordinator to identify areas in the curriculum in which instruction can be enhanced through the use of technology.
