Projects:
1- Establishing a new classification, characterisation and coding system for Asfour Crystal's 65, 000+ SKUs (including raw materials, consumables, semi-finished and finished products).
- Led the efforts of the project's steering committee consisting of three directors and two managers, in addition to a team of managers and supervisors who led team subgroups.
- Developed and managed the implementation of a systematic approach to build item codes from scratch, based on mutually exclusive classes, and hybrid discriminating characterisation (poly-code/ mono-code); in order to remove code redundancies in the ERP, while ensuring uniqueness.
- Managed the IT efforts to automate the whole process through a web based application.
2- Re-implementation of ERP in Asfour.
- Coordinated the vendor competition between Oracle, SAP (by IBM) and Microsoft (by BI Technologies) to win the ERP account.
- Led the efforts of the project's steering committee, until reaching final offers from vendors and issuing final recommendation to the CEO, including a solution for master data management (MDM).
