Sabah Al Salem University City - Central Utility Plant 1 & 2 - District Cooling - Project Cost: Approx $ 270 Million
• Project Details: Central utility plants 1&2 (80000 ton refrigerant) with 11 kms chilled water pipes (52” dia) and electro-
mechanical services tunnel for the university.
• Role: Validated all procurement activities meet specified quality standards and comply with all procurement policies while
maintaining production and delivery schedules. Involved in installation of water-cooled chillers, cooling towers, plate heat
exchangers, centrifugal filters, air separators, air handling units, fan coil units, condenser water pumps, primary and secondary
chilled water pumps, along with piping/ducting related connections, accessories and BMS controls.
Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (LSFO), FG and Oil Pipelines - Client: Kuwait Oil Company (KOC)
• Project Details: Installation of LSFO, FG and Oil Pipelines from MAA to Sabiya and Doha Power Station.
• Role: Reviewed all technical documentations like general layout drawings, calculations, preliminary studies and process flow
sheets outlined possible risks and bottlenecks and suggested modifications to circumvent the same. Administered installation
of equipment and piping activities in alignment with project specifications. Key person for hydro testing work as well as
performed hot tapping to an existing live pipe and developed new connections jointly with sub-contractor.
Fuel Gas and Gas Oil Pipelines and a Pumping Station - Client: Kuwait Oil Company (KOC)
• Project Details: Installation of new Fuel Gas and Gas Oil Pipelines and Pumping Station from Mina Al Ahmadi to Azzour and
Shuaiba Power Stations.
• Role: Evaluated technical documents/ submittals; highlighted any short-falls or overruns and addressed all mechanical/
operational problems related to project instantly to minimize delays or unexpected cost increase. Integral part of equipment
installation and piping activities which include foundation, supports, fabrications, fit-up, welding and erection ranging in
various sizes in addition to hydro testing work as per QC mandate. Proficiently executed open cut road crossing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Providing mechanical expertise and direction in various phases of project ranging from concept design till final execution in
addition to scheduling work flow and organizing site facilities to ensure timely delivery of projects with expected quality and
allotted budget.
• Managing all procurement activities in line with mechanical plans i.e. in terms of quality, quantity while keeping in line with
project schedules and budget. Maintaining adequate flow of resources to avoid delay in project execution.
• Computing broad range of technical documents/ submittals throughout the project life-cycle; providing mechanical support to
Project Manager in expediting project execution with strong focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Involved in process optimization, troubleshooting and de-bottlenecking of various procedures. Monitoring project progress in
line with pre-defined schedules; outlining variations and recommending solutions to ensure project goals are effectively met.
• Analyzing and interpreting all project information and routinely generating an array of technical reports/ project status reports
for strategic analysis and interpretation by senior management.
• Involved in team meetings, presenting action plans, follow-ups, and status of projects, abnormal occurrences and escalating
potential / severe issues with build in deployable contingency plans to clients, architects and other consultants.
• Collaborating with team members, consultants, contractors and sub-contractors for smooth accomplishment of project
objectives. Supporting implementation of safe work practices while ensuring standard operating procedures are followed at all
times.
